It will take someone immersed in it from birth (some one born in the last 20 years) to truly grasp the change that has occurred (for the most part, just in the last 10 years).
I have to disagree Doc, but for slightly different reasons. There are plenty of tech savvy (even geeks) that are older and can even appreciate the technology better that someone born with an I-Phone in their hand. It's all taken for granted now. Second, politicians feed off personal interaction, technology is just a means to an end, a tool than they can use, no need to know how it works just that it does. On the other hand, technology guys, while not necessarily loners, spend a lot of time by themselves figuring how things work and how it could be improved or tweaked. Obama might know how to use elements, but I doubt he ever cracked a PC case open.
