Man, I don't even remember when was the last time I checked the Twitter thingy. Good that they are back. Oh, glad that you are keeping this up too. :)

What are those "MI spirits"?

kyogre: Glad you saw that some new posts went up. Keeping up with our twitter account was one of my NYR's.  One of my other resolutions was to use less emoticons ( ** resists urge to wink ** ).

wintersong: Michgian spirits...cold and fragile due to the sub-teen temps we've been 'enjoying' over break.  :(  DAMNIT, one slipped in!!!

Even Britain is freezing, we haven't seen anything above freezing for days now and Scotland was down at -16 celcius a week or two ago.  Heavy snow tonight, and I'm in probably the warmest part of Britain.

Of course. I actually still check it daily, just in case. Plus, every now and then Island Dog or someone will give away stuff on Twitter. I don't want to miss that!:P

Updated. I'm slightly disappointed that Rupees are out:'(

@Wintersong: Thanks for the karma:thumbsup:

We've been told Elemental should have a custom name for its currency, with fancy symbol and everything. Brad:"No Gil or Rupees allowed!"

  • Syl (Syl)
  • Electrum (Electra)
  • Thol (Thole)
  • Alem (Alem[s?])
  • Glyn (Glynn)

Ooooh.... Shiny...

On a more serious note, have a look at this. Why not let the game do something similar and generate a new currency every game?

Those Shiny toys are shiny and all, but I'd find randomly-changing names for currency vaguely annoying at best, unless perhaps the data set were limited to things that somehow worked with the Elemental back story. Even then, it seems more distracting than interesting.

YEEP! :O

This could get interesting (and I am referring to the family line mechanic here)

Gandalf on steroids is the Royal Princess of Altar??? (Lord of Steroids mod in 3, 2, 1...)

Blue land sorrounding that green land and no apparent enemy borders? A river that doesn't reach the coast? Still 11 turns before they research the game Civilization???

kicks the code that suddenly wants to trade MANA between cities. Certain things can be hauled via wagon...tapped mysical energies aint one.

That really depends on the metaphysics for Elemental, and y'all are still being extremely terse on that subject.

I played way too much MoM back when downloading game patches took hours on a 2400 baud modem, so I also tend to assume that a mana source is more like an oil well than it is like a coal mine. But I'm pretty sure that at least one poster around here read the word "shards" and assumed that building a mana reserve meant collecting big bags of 'somethings' that fell or got hacked off of the cloth-map icons that currently don't look significantly different from mundane resources like iron or clay.

Back to the money.  Brad didn't say that Meseta isn't allowed.  Phantasy Star has always been better than Final Fantasy anyway.

If he has a build with Dinasties and Quests, does that mean they won0t follow exactly the schedule and offer us both for next build? Or will they cap the Quests and keep the dinasties only for next build?

Thanks Kyogre12!

Whats wrong with the tried and much loved 'Crown', along with a crown symbol?

No problem:thumbsup:

I bet they will cap quests. We already know their internal builds have a lot more than what they give us (like fancy graphics). And based on the screenshots they already have tactical battles in, even though the schedule says we won't get those until beta 4...

Yeah. If you delete the period at the end, though, it works, and you get the picture I linked.

Updated. I love the "I accidently killed myself" things:P Hopefully those will stay in the game, because if I'm going to lose a game, I always like to do it fun/weird. Which is why I loved the commander selfdestruct in supcom. Any chance there will be a similar spell in Elemental?
