Another Desktopx 4 beta has been released.  The standard and the professional version have both gotten the same updates   This build focuses the feedback that has been recieved after the initial release last week.

Post anything that looks odd.  Make sure to give us system information like your OS (including 32 or 64 bit), and if it's hard to explain (or even if it isn't) a screenshot.

XPHomeSP3DTXStandard - New Object created as type System/Windows Logoff executes Windows Shutdown Dialog window instead of Logoff Dialog or logoff.  (Same as prior version.)

ObjectDock - Access shortcuts and frequently used applications from an animated dock.

Tab don't work when changing colors. I usually insert the red number, tab, insert blue, tab, etc. Don't work. On 7. I haven't found problems yet on Vista as I'm trying to make 7 my new default OS.

Also, I could've sworn keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+A to select all used to work in various Properites window fields. Now, not so much.

OK, now I'm back on DX 3.5 on windows 7. Every time I apply a DX theme, my wallpaper, which is set to fill, reverts to fit. This leaves space at the left and right of my screen. 1360x768 screen running a 1920x1200 wall.

 

It stays this way when I unload DX.  :|

Also, the recycle bin in DX don't work on 7. It dumps it when you click it, but it don't change states as it should when it is full, as opposed to the empty state.

When saving desktops, we no longer get a thumbnail. Even some of the desktops included with the program have no thumbnails. Actually, there are thumbnails, only they're a solid color with nothing on them.

Update 3.89[b].042 is still listed as 'available'.  Is this the one everyone is having problems with?

I think that's the one--the Standard one. Mine says 3.89[b].043 ; it's Pro.

I'm running 3.5 , or so it says, but I still have the right click DX addition and now my widgets won't run at startup. I place a ckeck where it says to, but it won't stay checked!!

I'm having the same problem 'missing odzip.dll' on windows xp home.  How do I roll back to the last stable version as I'm using the 'new' version.

Open Impulse ,click on the blue button @top left. Uncheck "Show prerelease versions" Then right click on DX and verify installation. It will say an update is available,which will be 3.5. I hope this is helpful.It's how I rolled back anyway.

Ok - this seems to be the official bug report thread. I'll add what I posted in the other. Just to be sure.

 

I was checcking out DX4 and looking back at some of the bugs, issues I reported years ago: here's one from 2007:

And the Script Editor still uses some weird Bang Che font under Vista/Windows7, which doesn't display characters correctly. Something I reported when Vista came out.

 

I've sent this to SD support. But beeing how they have gone unoticed for so many years I'm adding them here, yet again just to be sure they're seen. Excuse my "spamming".
