Will us new preorders get access to 1Z? Or will we have to wait three whole more weeks? :(

From what I've understand. Everyone who has pre-ordered before beta 1Z and beta 2A, will gain acsess to the upcoming beta. So in your case. You should probably be able to get acsess to beta 1Z (which will be released sometime this upcoming week). =)

Anyword when 1Z will become available?

Not yet.. But i'm guessing towards the end of this week... I'm sure Frogboy will let us know. Since it's delayed, i assume they will give it to us when they are ready (hopefully thursday). But in my opinion.. whenever they feel they are ready to go public with it! (no rush stardock).

1Z is out, downloaded and played. I like what I see, but too many crashes to desktop to think about multiplayer at the moment.

THANK YOU FROGBOY! - This will make testing MP much easier!

New Game Mode: Battlefield (internally called "XCom meets Myth mode").  -> This sounds awesome. \o/ ..it's gonna be endless fun in multiplayer!

Hi,

I just preordered (this game looks great!), and haven't had much time to scour the forum for every detail of info yet, but I was wondering when the next round of beta invitations would go out?  I ordered on May 18th, so will I get a chance to participate in a beta?  What is the deadline for getting into the next beta so that I can get friends to preorder in time?

Thanks!

No copy protection is awesome!!! ^^

I mean, I have games just UNPLAYABLE, like for instance two worlds, which you need to re-activate a dozen times a year by forum PM... (because online and telephone activation no longer work! unbelievable...), because of copy protection (which you have to do all over again everytime you change ANYTHING on the PC), to the point I would not even buy a potential Two worlds II if it was with the same system >< (I can also mention half life two, even though I didn't play it, famous for it's shitty protection system).

+ like to play under Linux, and copy protection often causes trouble with emulators T-T (it keeps telling you to put the "original" DVD while it IS inside already -_-").

Not to mention the times you need to use "no-cd" crack while you do have the original CD just because the game wasn't meant to run under vista or seven... sometimes I think copy protection pisses real buyers more than pirates ><

There are several games that I would like to play but require online registration: Starcraft 2, DOW2, etc.  I'm gainfully employed and can certainly afford these games, but I promise that these developers will never see a dime of my money.  Feel free to interpret that as you will.

On the other hand, I've bought pretty much every Stardock release over the past five years or so, with the exception of Demigod.  I know I'll get a good, engaging game that doesn't need a thumbprint and a blood sample in order to use a product that I own.  As long as Stardock keeps making games I like without the intrusiveness that I despise, they'll keep getting money from me.

Same.  What these other companies do, it's as criminal as the theft they hope to prevent.

Stardock makes a brilliant game.  When I play their titles, I feel like I'm playing something made by gamers who like games, not programmers who like money.  For that alone they'd get my business but I also mean to support them for their ethics as well.

Those ethics count with people like me, who are tired of companies effectively punishing the people who put food on their table, over the few who try to take it away.  (Like I'm supposed to stop them?)  And Stardock makes it easy to support their ethics, by backing it up with brilliant work.  Basically they prove that they care, they don't have to puff up about it.

And I've annoyed several friends with this rant, I'm glad you said as much too, Cyrus.

There will be a spellcasting victory condition, something like the Spell of Mastery of Master of Magic (research this very high level ritual, cast it (it cost a truckload mana and time to cast), and you win the game.

I suppose that the Spell of Making is Elemental version of the same.

Raven X-nerdgasm.

That is just funny.  Very descriptive and sums up what many are feeling.  Did you make that up or are you using someone else's quote?  If you made that up I will come back and give you +1 to your karma.  Sounds like you made it up.^_^

Not to detract from RavenX's cool factor, but nerdgasm wasn't his invention ;)

stupid question, if the beta reaches the next step and more content gets added - will impulse automatically download that stuff that i can use it?

LoL, No, No it wasn't. Unless you were one of the first people to ever play Pen & Paper D&D with Gary Gygax though, I doubt you invented it either, my friend :P . Then again, maybe you were or did invent it, I don't know for sure. :)

Most likely though you were just the first person to use it around here or in the thread somewhere and I just missed it hehe ;)
