Release 0.54.1 Full Download for Rebellion 1.95+
& Patch 0.54.2

Sins Of The Younger Races Remastered

NEW - Balvarin Carrier and Minor Factions fix!

Installation Guide:

  1. Download the latest Sins Remastered mod from here:
    https://www.moddb.com/mods/sinsre
  2. Extract the archive into a 'SinsRemastered' folder in your 'C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85' folder.
  3. Download the latest Babylon 5 Sins of the Younger Races mod from here:
    https://www.moddb.com/mods/sins-of-the-younger-races
  4. Extract the archive into your root 'Mods-Rebellion v1.85' folder instead of a new mod folder as the archive ALREADY contains a premade 'SotyrRemastered' folder inside of it (so if you're not careful you'll end up with a mod folder inside of a mod folder and it won't work lol).
  5. Start Sins and go to 'Options', then 'Mods', and you should see the mods you've installed.
  6. Enable 'SotyrRemastered' and then enable 'SinsRemastered' too. Make sure that the load order is SotyrRemastered first/top and then SinsRemastered second/bottom.
  7. Restart Sins and you should be good to go!

Sometimes the in-game mod loader can be a bit funky so if you can't see the mods you've installed or something isn't working then enabling the mods via the 'EnabledMods.txt' file in your 'Mods-Rebellion v1.85' folder where you installed the mods to is the other alternative. It should look like this to work:

TXT2
SinsArchiveVersion 194
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 2
enabledModName "SotyrRemastered"
enabledModName "SinsRemastered-v0.95b"

When we use "savegame", info save in two types files: "save" and "stats". Perhaps main problem how open file "stats" ...

Models by Koobalt and the Marathon engine by Zvezdochets, two of our great model makers for the B5 mod!

Looked at the EA Sag. ingame ...

and decided to add more details:

@Tobiwahn: LOVE the missle firing points and sequence! Really makes it a very nice ship, so am adding more details to make it peachy! only doing the cl.dds at the moment ... will try da.dds and nm.dds ...

If you need help or want me to do the -nm / -da files, just tell me.

As for the normalmaps, you might take a look at a program called crazybump. It costs money (though 30 day trial) but can do wonderful normalmaps if you are too tired to make them by hand.

Impressive! Especially in blue lights ... TobiWahn, about battle statistics - i find how open file "save" [my mistake - i think about "stat" file] but few problem - when ship [my or enemy] destroy fighter, frigate or capship his stat increase, but if he destroyed by enemy his stat disappered. And in battle computer ready statistics about damage by type weapons. Need find buff for output statistics from game.

Hey guys,  I'm not rushing.....just inquiring.....are you going to release a new mod version(.34b) that incorporates the Omega, Sgittarius, and other completed or atleast playable ships?  you are all doing a fantastic job btw!!!  The Sagittarius is looking better and better.

Reply #616 Top

@Zvezdochets

Don't know how the bits are formatted. Perhaps Ironclad can tell us how they translate ingame.

@Archangel1980

Yes, The next release will incorporate the Omega, the Sagittarius and the Hermes (need to finish my work on the Hermes first) Thanks for the flowers, will still take some time to finish the next release up, but I hope it won't take too long since I plan on playtesting it with a friend of mine this weekend in a LAN.

It does rotate ... there's a slight issue with lighting effects (rotation via particle effects) not sure how we can solve that without IC dev. help ...

Model UPDATE:

Must try out that Omega - solution of yours! Thanks for letting us know. But it seems that this is an issue we can not solve ourselves, as the code for ship highlighting is hardcoded by IC
