Hmm, thinking about dropping the V8 for full liquid cooling. What would a good case be for a water cooled rig? Space is good since I would like to keep everything I can inside the case. I think I may have to run 2 loops too.

Also, what would be better, 2 OC'd eVGA Co Op Editon GTX 295s or 3 eVGA 2GB GTX 285 FTWs?

At the moment I'd still say the 2 x GTX295 but that's purely a driver thing. Most games in combination with the drivers can't really harness all the raw power 3 videocard would have, which reflects in benchmarking scores as a proof of concept. If Nvidia ever get the drivers (and limited chipset) support to make them all cooperate 100% then 3 cards might be worth while, for now I'd say stick with 2, unless you only want to play the few games that can use more than 2 videocards well.

Yeah, I think I would tend to agree after some research.

Here is my new system taking old computer Q6600 in and having the following installed

Antec Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gamer Case (NO Power Supply)

Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Intel® X58+ICH10R Chipsets LGA1366 Core i7 ATX Mainboard

Intel® Core™ i7-920 2.66 GHz 8MB Cache Quad Core Retail CPU

6GB kit (2GBx3), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 memory module (BL3KIT25664BN1608) x 2 12 gig total

Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev. 2 Extremely Quiet Twin Tower Cooling Solution

All the other items will come from the OLD Computer they Include 2 Sata Burners 4 Seagate Sata hard Drives, A Palit 1 Gig video card and 750 Watt Power Supply and an Internal all in card reader

I could put a new Video card in but since I am not a gamer I see no need for not using the old one

That was done a month ago Right now I am in a dual boot Vista 32 bit ultimate ad W7 RC-1 64 bit, I use W-7 most of the time just going to Vista when needed to keep it up todate.

In fact here are my index numbers what does not show is the Q6600 is running at 2.90 GHz

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 7.2

Well I get my upgraded machine today CPU is I7 920 6 gig of 12800 Memory and a Nivida 260 Video card in an Antec 1200 case. The one thing I am not looking forward to is I may have to install Vista OEM due to all the changes same for W-7 because of the CPU and MB a Asus P6T Deluxe V2

I am hoping this is not the case and all it will take is a phone call to MS, But am not holding my breath, >:( I may just re-install W7 if it needs to be done as I was using that as my Prime OS for the last month and half. It would be nice though to be able to have the dual boot function. I amy just put Vista on as a basic OS with all updates, no other programs. I would than put W7 on system and all my other programs.

How ever I am hoping the curent W7 and Vista will load and all that is required is a phone call:blush:

whenever i've swapped motherboards or processors, i quick call to ms took care of it. there was never a need to reinstall the os.

Hmm you might want to anyway. Different chipset drivers etc can really mess up your system.

W7 activated automaticaly when I said activate, With Vista Ultimate 32 bit I had to make phone call nor problems encountered

here is my index. It does not show the cpu running at 3.6 GHz
