Annoying camera follows ships around.

I'm new to this game and I like it a lot.  I am playing the vanilla version right now, not Entrenchment. I have played a lot of Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander and I like the option in these two games to select a ship/plane etc... and THEN hit a button to have the camera follow/track it around. But in SoaSE the camera seems to have a mind of its own.  The most annoying part is right in the middle of a big battle the camera will start tracking some ship and will start scrolling the screen.  I then have to hit a direction arrow or move the cursor to the edge of the screen to get it to stop tracking the ship.

Is there a way to have the camera NOT automatically track moving objects?

yeah, just untick that option in the option menu...

No actully there is an option at the top wit a camera on it, u juss click that it'll stop. i personally like it though, it makes it easier to find things and zoom in on certain objects and its really not a problem if u kno how 2 use it. Oh and i'm not for sur bout this but, i think there is an setting in the "user interface" tab that lets u change the stickyness of the cursor.
