After seeing the popularity of transparent themes in the past few months I thought it was time for me to put my own version of the concept together. Hopefully I can do it justice, and provide a high quality Master skin with my own take on it.

The basic concept is a stripped down, very transparent, very fast WB that is perfect for screenshotting and showcasing wallpapers

There will be zero bevels or gradients, all the buttons will be flat and designed to be more like a touch screen interface.

It will have a white text and black text start menu substyle for use with light or dark wallpapers.

Heres a small screeny of what I have after a couple of days, I'll try to expose more as I strip it down. :hot:

I'll also add.. of all the similar type themes I've downloaded, most are low quality, somewhat buggy and generally not well executed.

As they say,"The devil is in the details" and very,very few do the details to the degree you do,v. I'm sure it will have widespread appeal. Good luck with it. :thumbsup:

Minimalistic seems to be an impossibility for me to create!I tried it with Covert Ops but just can,t flatten it all out!You and about three other skinners besides myself are all I use on a regular basis.BTW...I still use "sexy" alot because of its simplicity and appeal!It will be nice to have a"Naked" skin of the quality you achieve! :thumbsup:

I had some issues with IE tonight, had to square those away or I'd have sent them on to you.  I need to get the tabber running too.  I'll get these over to v tomorrow night and he can pass them along.

Hey, Mr. Awesome Skinner Man, I've accomplished something similar using the transparency customizations in WB, but your skin is going to be soooooo much better, I expect.  Looking forward to it!

Here is my hacked together version, using 007Tinar's INVI skins.  I was shooting for Vellum & Glass.  :D

I like the idea, John. I'd echo Harley's comments. The only two Windowblinds that I ever use are your Sexy and Vienna skins and I alternate between the two making subtle changes to the overall desktop setup via matching gadgets, wallpapers, DX objects and media players. Why? Quite simply because your skins are 'easy on the eye', professionally made and there are many things you can put with them to match and make a great all round scheme. I think this new concept of yours will have the same attributes and have popular appeal. And my guess is Messiah, Bilbo and the rest of the crew will make some superb matching skins to make it even more appealing to those of us who like suites of skins. Good luck with the venture and I am sure it will be a success |-)

SkyDXT - I've yet to venture into Vista (shown in that screenshot) with this theme... but everything that can be glassed... will be.

There are a few additional things that the user has to do to get that particular look and I don't like to make folks take additional steps to obtain a look with my themes. In addition to that I'd like to keep it as usuable as possible.

However it turns out, hopefully it'll be classy looking.

No your welcome to your opinion, Just came off badly Imo and I wasn't the only person to think that...far from.

I'm still waiting to hear from you what prompted you to say it 'looked like' a Vista clone.

..but frankly it doesn't matter to me what you think as I hold little to zero faith in your judgement.

With any of these solutions, if you use FireFox, here is the add-on that turns Firefox to glass.  It works with all of these skin solutions.  I highly recommend this.  :)
