Banned because I just got back from the first session of the Model UN Six-Day war Arab Expiditionary Council simulation. I was Egypt. It started out good: we declared war on Israel 15 days earlier than the real countries did, and launched an air strike that took out their air force and nuclear capabilities. Then I sent 100,000 soldiers to the border to get ready to start "liberating" territory. That's when things got wierd:
I was informed by my simulation overseer that my army was both at the border and not at the border. I assumed they would get there eventually. So I started arguing about how best to divy up the land, what to name the war, you know, all the fights winning countries get in. That went on for about 1.5 hours. Then our simulation overseer told us that our air forces were in fact shot down by the Israelis, the air strips and reactors were all still there, and the Israelis were fueling their bombers as we spoke.
Then we ran out of time and my committe adjourned until tomorrow, just after my troops showed up... in Jordan.
