Well the borg are certainly the borg! Mean and BIG. AN interesting issue with the borg is they get a huge advantage if you play with large fleet sizes but I am sure research will fix that in the long run. Very cool Loki, I am blown away at what a borg ship doest to a fleet!
I laughed when the AI sent priates after me 
No kidding, it was like I was waiting to hear "Head Shot" each time I killed one, because they were all one hit kills LOL.

for instance what do you think the borg fighter bay will be 
I will try to get the unicomplex in and fully working by the end of the week so we shall see + some more updates to borg ships the Tactical cube + Cube are getting a nerf while the scout cube will get a slight buff

I am getting a few mini dumps after the last update. Am I alone?
Playing matches w/all races. 45-60 minutes in crash, two times.
The Klingon starbase looks good, very well done IMO.
Try turning down your graphics, if they're set too high they can crash it with a large battle going on.
Other than that, what was going on when you crashed? Need more info to find out why it crashed.

The problem is on my end nthing is going on consistantly. No battles, early in the game just now. I don't think it is a graphics issue because the problem just started with the update. I am going to try no borg and see if I have the issue and eliminate each race 1 at a time as the offender.
**On another note if you want to upgrade the federation space station to include a trade route it asks for a prerequisite research that does not exist. Someone may have caught it already, but just in case.

Originally i wasnt going to include borg in the mod, but Darkshimmer found a way to do it without making them look stupid. Like what all of the "professional" trek games did. Loki just happened to be working on a borg add on. So his inclusion was only natural.
The era for SoA 2 starts not long after the events of nemesis.
The Dominion played nothing more than lip service to the cease fire, and waited long enough to regroup its forces. Then came back to the alpha quadrant with a vengence. DS-9 is destroyed, cardassia has been enslaved again, and the breen happily re-joined their lost allies. The second dominion war is upon us.
The alliance between the Federation, Klingons, and Romulans is not as cozy as it once was during the 1st dominion war. Each individual empire can hold back the new dominion onslaught on thier own, Each thinks their own way is the right way. The only way. Mistrust, and petty differences shatter the alliance.
Meanwhile the borg transwarp hub was not completely destroyed as previously thought. Repairs were quick, and the hub is back online. The collective concluded that the alpha quadrant is too great of a threat for the quest to merely assimilate... Species 5618 must be annihilated. The borg must attack. Not with just one ship, but with the full force of the collective. While the alpha quadrant fights amongst themselves.
Not a bad prolog for someone who cant write a story if his life depended on it

Took the borg out and no crash yet... I played a small map player federation AI as the borg and had a crash in 5 minutes real time. The AI is doing something that the game does not like, I had no trouble when I played a complete game as the borg yesterday.
I also have been having issues with mini dumps since the update. I suspect its the borg as well . All of my dumps happened either while i was borg or playing against them. thought it was just me thou . fyi I know its not the federation no dumps when fed vs fed
mm you guys who are getting dumps at random
are you playing the mod with live sync on? (it must be turned off) as the updates we make will crash games that you are running as files have been changed
are you playing on a saved game ? -- if your on a saved game that was made before the borg was added this is now invalid espc as the klingon tech tree had an update
are you running the game with the graphics settings set to highest ? (on all of them) ? try turning some if not all of them down one lvl
do you have the latest graphics drivers for w/e graphics card you have
ARE you playing with the Borg set to AI ? or are you playing as the borg ? but vs borg AI ?
as for that error with the fed tech tree i was not aware of that so ill get that updated asap ( tomorrow) unless someone else can do it
i know some of these questions may sound condesending but they have to be asked

gah i cant edit my last post for some reason it could be the borg but then again i have never played vs borg AI i have only ever played as the borg i do suspect some possible errors as to why aka i took out the borg starbase that could be it and i created some extra role types for the borg the game might not like that those are the only things i can think of but it wont be until late tomorrow (my time) when i am able to check it out so please if you can run the game and get the dev errors think you have to enable some settings in user.settings PLEASE PM them to me DONT post them in the forums just PM me with them and i dont want all of them as i know they are a few regarding the cloak and some other stuff i need to know the one right before it dumps

now that we have all those factions together: borg assimilate founders -> shapeshifting borg. assimilation can take a whole new role now as the borg are not recognisable anymore and can assimilate members in all the quiet corners. destruction from within!
sry. hope you guys keep making such nice progress. at least it seems from the outside that a good amount of stuff is working.
hey loki i was playing as the borg in one game and your recommended settings for the borg ai the other five dumps, for the other games i was either kilingons or federation. Also have the latest drivers, sync was always off for me, all new games here . Will pm u thou with minidumps later
Hey guys, Awesome mod you have made here I've been playing the old 0.03c version for a while now which is awesome enough 
can't wait to see what the entrenchment version plays like.
To Stress I like your prologue, have you read many of the Star Trek books at all? Two of the best series I have read follow those story arcs I would reccomend anyone reading them, they are called Deep Space Nine: Twist of Faith, it picks up after the end of Season 7 and has a return of the dominion. The other is the Destiny trilogy fantastic three books all the Borg you could ever want
Again great work on the mod keep up the work and totally apreciate the time you are putting into this around your real lives.
Do not bother sending minidumps. They are useless to us. No one except the sins dev's can read them.
Not too shabby Stress, in fact one of the better storylines I've heard so far. It all sounds plausible to me (as the wars between these races never lasted long enough IMO), and I think that the game will make it fit just nicely with that arc.

As for all the minidumps going on so far, I have played only a few games but I haven't had one yet, so I have no clue what's going on. If trouble does occur, I will PM you Loki, but until then I think everything's great and it all looks good to me!!!
BTW.
I started playing BC Kobayashi Maru, And I realized something.
The Danube MII that they have in there (with the torpedoe rollbar) would make an excellent bomber, where the Pregrine would work as fighter.
The Hideki and the Bug ship also seemed to act more as fighters I noticed as well.
Just throwing it out there.

No. The developers have more than on one occassion said that they are not accepting any beta testers, as they already have enough. I am sorry that you aren't able to get in, but you'll just have to be a little patient and willing to hold yourself over with 0.03c at the moment.
Hey SOA2Team, you might want to post that you guys aren't accepting any more beta testers in the initial thread, because this question comes up a lot.
Anywho, played a game earlier and I got a minidump as well (about 30 mins in), but can't tell what it's from either. I am going to play another game, and if it happens again, I'll copy the error down and PM it to you Loki (doubt it'll help, but until I know for sure what's wrong it's tghe best I can do). Well back to the salt mines LOL !
why does it play in a second dominion war and not in the orginally first one? cause of the not cannon ships?
