Skinning....better than Xanax.

Skinning....better than Xanax.

Last week I took off on a 1300 mile trip to Kansas for my son's wedding.  I'm kind of prone to panic and anxiety, and with the economy the way it is right now, this trip was sort of like walking on a tight rope without a net for me.  However, I am, once again, in the middle of constructing another Windowblind, and during this trip, whenever I caught myself thinking about all the disasters that could befall me (car wreck at any of the states I had to drive through where I don't know anybody to help out and don't have any extra cash to pay anyone to help out; breaking down on the road with no one to help and no way for my spouse to get to me to fix things, because our second car is broken...dying on the road before I GOT to the wedding, etc.), before I started to hyperventilate, I began to think about how I wanted to skin the scroll bar, or what I'm going to do with the Please-Wait animation.

I went the entire round trip (2600 miles) without once freaking completely out in the car, and I owe it all to skinning!

That picture Seth posted of her...she was a baby! She's wearing a GIRL SCOUT uniform fergodzake! I'm much more concerned about what it says about you that you think the first picture is hot! (...dirty old man! )
Karen, Karen, I think the GS shirt is a prop, like wearing an army jacket.  Remember it was the 60's.  I make no apologize for thinking a hot girl is hot no matter how old I get.....keeps me young not perverted.  God, you can't even hug your granddaughters anymore for fear of someone calling it abuse.  The pendulum always swings too far in one direction.

Guys, guys...I was only teasing.  (and I only pretend I'm too young to know what your fashions were -- mini skirts, Nehru jackets, those suede vests with the fringe, all the way until the bicentennial when everybody was wearing the American flag as some article of clothing).

I probably should identify with the 60's, but I didn't become self-aware until I was in my 30's, so my head is kinda Generation X in mentality.

  Thanx Ed....an' oy'd be watchin' tha' there "swinging pendulum" talk.

Oy just go' a call from Homeland PC (pointless conformity). They seem to think that somewhere on the west coast of FL there's a Girl Scout molester on the loose. Somebody pretending to be named K10w3 (we know he or she be pretendin' 'cuz she ain't got th' right a tv r [wotever th' be]) shopped 'im fer th' bounty money (smart move if yer asks me).

I steered 'em right (meanin' wrong), though, and told them that the bloke they be lookin' fer changed 'is name and moved to anovver continent and is married to a very nice lady and tha' 'e be reformed. I told them 'e also has a thing for a certain Governor wot lurvs mooses, yellow Siberian snow and bridges to nowhere and 'e be thinkin' 'e be a Pyrate man....to steer clear ovvim 'coz 'e be 'avin' a 'uge methane problem.
