Wild Card Tier:  I don’t know what goes on in these people’s heads, but they play on Sins enough to be on here.  These guys have been playing for so long, you wonder why they don’t quite get it.  Sometimes they’re good, sometimes they aren’t.  Usually they’re always one trick ponies.

 _|~Sire/KoK/King of Kodiaks/LiLZe/Kodiak_King - Tier #3 if he doesn't goof off.

kbroke - Tier #2 if he isn't on drugs or drunk, which is 99.9% of the time.

HuyMac - Tier #2 if he doesn't "Experiment".

Predator (WFU) - Tier #2, but lately he is just plain awful and I would rather pick a noob that know how to listen that to pick this guy.

Eh, people need to realize that even tier 3 can beat 80%-90% of people on ICO, so it's hardly a mark of bad playing. 

However, I do realize you aren't listed, and I don't know if I can justify putting you on tier 2.  Give me some time to know you, but for now tier 3.

How, can you do a poll for known players that you aren't that familiar with, that are nominated, or under consideration, that allowed players to vote with comments?  Maybe a "companion thread".  This way you could edit the poll as new candidates came up, and then evaluate the feedback, and add up the input.  Folks could still request or "apply" to be on the list, and others could weigh in at what level they thought they were.  When players got enough "input" they could be "promoted" to the next tier with an announcement post.

What do you think?

edit: I vote Mr_Book tier 2 and rising.  Played a 4v6 game with him last night where it was jj, book, anhpp, and one other against 4 quasi-tiers (myself included), and 2 ubah-noobs.  It was a combat crash dummy exercise, but book was flawless.  Not that I know what flawless looks like, but if I had to make an educated guess, the replay showed him prosecuting and executing with authority.

Some additions. You need to add a Tier 4

 

Tier 4 players are not totally new and have 50 or so games under their belt but their reflexes are slow. They have a very general understanding of the game and what counters what but often cannot execute strategies most effectively or quickly and often can't be expected to hold against tier 2 players or above and 50/50 against a tier 3 player. 

Rothschild - Tier 4. pretty much mediocre in every way. Often goes for mass kiodiaks. Can hold off Tier 3 players when on the defensive but will struggle on the attack. Always plays TEC. 

N00B - Tier 4. on the same level as Rothschild.  

Osan - Tier 3 or Tier 2. He can beat Camaro or Archa-Ra more than 50% of the time. Solid player

Zenobia - Tier 3. I would rate him slightly below Osan. Solid player. 

Eros - Tier 1. One of the best eco players around in SINs.  

JakeMac - Tier 2. Dramatically improved player. Can fight Doci to a standstill.

Thanks Proto!  Was a fun game and I'm sorry you guys got the short end of the stick.  3v7 would have been vastly one-sided against me, JJ and whoever our 3rd was, but given the group we had I thought the 4v6 allowed for the most even match.

Move Nayru to tier 1 he could beat everyone in tier 2 easy and would have no problems vs a tier 1.

Added Mr_Book to tier 2, but I think personally I'd put him at tier 1.  Nayru moved to tier 1 and JakeMac to top of tier 2 out from WildCard slot.  He is no HuyMac.  Anyone else I'm missing?

Very kind of you to say Howdid :-)   I am not vain, I'm very comfortable sitting at tier 2, most of the guys at the tier 1 level I would be hard pressed to take on 1v1.

There is a new player named anhpp, says he is not a smurf and I tend to believe him, but he is certainly tier 2 level at least.
