ive got a few girliy skins in the works per my wife that i'll be releasing but i dont see it any time soon at all....im still working on a skin that i want to be my first skin and still learning but there are plenty of other nice skins from good skinner that you can make girly

Please define what makes a skin feminine or masculine.

Probably something like pink for girls, blue for boys.. Dolls for girls, cars for boys.

My Grandmother soon found out that dolls were not for girls, when I ripped one's head off after she gave one to me one Xmas.. from then on, I got train sets, and rubber snakes bless you Nanna!

I hear what you're saying, Jymmy.  What I've done is to take fairly neutral skins and "accessorize" them with wallpaper, DesktopX widgets, and sometimes making a copy of the Windowblind and embelishing what is there.  Sometimes I go for a gothic feel, but other times I want something more mainstream and elegant.  The Valentine's Day skins are good for that, and I agree with Teddybearcholla, that Jazzymjr's skins are very feminine, although my tastes run more in the brighter color range than her skins usually contain.  There's a free skinnable analog clock program called ClocX, which I use to accessorize a lot of my desktops, because all you have to do is make a .png picture and put it in the presets folder and it becomes a clock face.  I've also started making Xion music player skins, because they're pretty simple, to accessorize the entire desktop with bits of elegance.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty...

okay... so I find it a tad diffult to type after tequila, vodka, goldschlager and rumplemintze (I'm cleaning out my cabinet)...

as memtioned... jazzymjr has some soft skins... also sabine has some some that some have calld feminine ( I think I'm losing any typing skills I mIgjht of had)...  does gay count? vStyler's Vienna2 has been called gay but I really do like this skin... have been using it since it come out...;;

I know what you mean Jymmy. I would also like to see more skins made for girls.

What makes a skin feminine? For me it doesn't has to be all pink, with flowers and stuff. It could be inspired by jewelry, by precious stones, by make up etc. I once tryed a skin who looked like it was made of fur, I think it was a guic 2006 entry if I'm not wrong. I thought the idea was awesome, to bad the skin wasn't that well done at all.

Jymmy, I am totally with you about the lack of more feminine-type skins.  That is why I started skinning blinds.

I'am one that doesn't care if a blind is manly or womanly.  If its pretty, works and I like it, I keep it.  I happen to have a few of jazzymjrs blinds as they meet my 3 reasons for keeping them.  I remember a few years ago a female skinners was told she only makes female blinds and was politly dogged for it.  How times shange.
