Sweet, I got Hancock last night.. it wasn't as funny as it looked on the ads o_O

As for gangsta flicks, I don't mind them, but I'm more a Mafia chick, LOVE Goodfellas, Casino etc

Goodfellas is great for a frozen pizza making company. Though Dr Oetker is better.

I recently watched 'Wanted' with Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie and thoroughly enjoyed it... that was a rental, but it's a movie I will have to add to my collection in the very near future.  Morgan Freeman is one of my all-time fav actors... which reminds me, I'll have to add 'The Shawshank Redemption" to the list.

I don't buy a lot of DVD's due to getting 3 Pigpond rentals delivered each week - and they're usually enough, being that I spend more time on my PC than I do in front of the TV - but we occasionally have a DVD night, and adding (what I/we call) classics will provide us a bit more variety....

Aargghhh, now why didn't Santa bring me the entire collection of Stargate and Stargate Atlantis... I could sit in front of that all night, no problem. ;)

Yeah, I watched 'Hancock' the same night as I saw 'Wanted'... not too bad, either, tho I think it was more an action drama with a few funny bits than a straight-up comedy. :)

Yeah, it froze 12 minutes before the end, so my son took it back, and we still don't know how it endsX|

As for horror, I LOVE IT!!

The only horror, if you could call it that, that freaked me out was the ring, I can't watch it.. a lot of people said the same thing, nothing scary, it's just a feeling it gives me:(O

I can watch people being hacked up and all that crap, and it doesn't bother me, but that creepy girl climbing through the tv.. *shudder*... go figure..

okays ill check it out.........:moon:

By a strange coincidence, I also watched Hancock last night. Could have been better, perhaps if they make a sequel...

Also watched Apocalypto ....now THAT was a great movie. [A Mel Gibson produced flick]

:)

Erk, I guess Will Smith never got his wife back?

Yeah it was.. to be honest.. pretty boring up to the point where Charlize Theron hurled him through the wall of her house:thumbsup:

Now that would be telling ... ;P

TELL me, I'm not buying it again

Orright, she runs off with the gypsies to become a fortune teller, and he joins a monastary to become a wine maker.

Ooops!!  That was the alternate ending for the 'director's cut' release due out 1Q/09.   :X :w00t:   ;P

TELL me, I'm not buying it again.

Of course he gets her back in the end...just in time to see the Spaniards arrive. More good luck there, what?

I've refused to watch any of his movies because of his obnoxious antisemitism. What a disappointment that drunken episode was.  #:(

Hard to believe what he said to the officer who pulled him over. It even became a thinly veiled plot for "Law and Order".

The Silence of the Lambs, but I didn’t care for the last movie in the series.

Erm, Doc ....TG was referring to Hancock, not Apocalypto. :P

I agree with you re Gibsons outburst during his drunken binge. Very very (plus infinitum) stupid. Not going to let that stop me watching the movies he might make in future though. He might be a daft bastard when drunk, but he does turn out a good flick.

We all make stupid mistakes at times... [Though Mel's was Epic Stupidity++]

Tailsgirl, No .... She stays with the current husband. Will & her have to stay apart ...if they stay together, they cancelled out each others powers and become mortal.

Can't say more than that though, might spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. O:)

heh..

Yep Erk, I figured they wouldn't get together, they'd keep on losing their bullet-proofness:ninja:   :)

It's just that Jason Bason = drop-kickX|

im sick of mel and that wanker russel crow ......they both make me....:X

I've got  'The Happening', 'Hannibal Rising' and '10,000 BC'arriving in the post from Bigpond today... looks lie a DVD night tonight, then.

Has anyone else here ever seen 'The Hidden' with Kyle McLachlan.... seen it about a dozen times before, but there's something about that movie and I have it on order for a future Bigpond delivery..... had it on VCR but I think the tape got all worn out. ;P

Ooooo Killer!!

I'm dying to see Hannibal Rising, I have all the others:thumbsup:

Kyle McLachlan, Desperate Housewives/Twin Peaks McLachlan? he's cool, is the hidden when they're on an island?? it's a 2 parts thing?

Yup, the same Kyle McLachlen as Desperate Housewives/Twin Peaks.... and he's great in 'The Hidden', plays the part really well.

The Hidden is about an FBI agent hunting a murderer, but with a twist... the murderer happens to be an alien with a penchant for fast cars (particularly Ferraris), power and sex.  Sounds like a lot of politicians, don't it! O:)

There are further twists, but I won't ruin it for you... if you like sci-fi, horror, action and Kyle McLachlan, etc, I recommend it as a must see movie.

:) |-)

Sweet!!!!, because I never know what to hire these days, I was looking at videoezy's site a few months back for a good horror, and there was this movie called RECTUMA.. yeah <-- and the description said it was about a Mexican butt-h*mping frog that attacks some guy on a beach [man this sounds insane, but look this flick up, it really exists, unfortunatelyX| ] , and then his butt detaches itself when he's asleep, and goes on a murderous rampageo_O

I hired it.. c'mon, anyone would've after THAT description;P  his butt was nothing but a shadow on the wall, and when it killed someone, all you saw was someone on the floor partially covered with that green slime you buy in toy stores*_*  AND.. I swear this one particular person was trying not to laugh, way to play dead moron:|

Actually, I don't think they were really actors, probably walk-ins off the street..:cylon:

I sat through as much of this flick as I could stomach, with that blank Homer Simpson look on my face-->o_O needless to say, it looked like a 2 year old filmed it with a camera phone, a TOY one, and the backgrounds in the actual movie were back-drops, that looked like elephants painted them... no.. actually elephants paint quite well, scratch that remark.. hence.. I am still seeking good flicks:thumbsup:

Edit.. Oh man.. here-->

They made it sound like it would be hilarious... they lied;)

I should have spent my 3 bucks on fruit tingles...or...something.:P

I  actually skipped to the credits [they were the most entertaining bits of the flick] to see if NOKIA had anything to do with it's production:grin:
