I was looking at videoezy's site a few months back for a good horror, and there was this movie called RECTIMA

Given your description, it sounds bloody awful and not something I'd be remotely interested in.... sounds bloody WOEFUL, EEEEW!

Like, I can relate to a killer butt - I mean, who'd know about that better than me - but that's ridiculous.

Other goodies include:

Beowulf... the Angelina Jolie version.

Beastmaster... series of 4, all good.

Bloodrayne... first is good, Bloodrayne: Deliverance not so good.

Powder... not a horror but still a good view.

Seven... a good thriller with horror undertones. :)

Hitcher... the original with Rutger Hauer... a classic.

End Days... good horror theme with big Arnie.

Prophesy... a series of 5 movies with Christopher Walken.

The Ninth Gate... good thriller with Johnny Depp.

Trick or Treat... look out for Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne cameos.

The Exorcism Of Emily Rose... dunno 'bout the green peas soup, but still good....

Just to name a few

It seems that you have already seen a few of those movies I suggested...

Yeah, Trick or Treat was a classic teen horror flick... and Ozzy as a reverend decrying 'metal' as the devil's music was ironic, wasn't it... being that is what he is famous for.

Another movie with Rutger Hauer and Gene Simmons is 'Dead or Alive... Hauer is a retired agent brought back to capture a famed terrorist, Simmons... another good view if you can find it.

I'll watch anything with Rutger Hauer in it... he one of my fav actors... 'Blind Fury' is another of his well worth a watch... he plays the part of a blind guy who is far from being handicapped, and who saves the day for the good guys.

Yeah, I saw Kiss at Lang Park in 1980... Ace Frehely sure kicked ass with his axe that night.

Hell yes, he had ball shooters coming out of his axe, but a friend I use to know did the lights for that concert, the entire thing was lip synched :(

Yes, Dead or Alive is cool, love the pub name = Drink til 2, Pistol noon:grin: and Blind Fury I have [I'm a Rutger fan] love it when he pets the alligator with his cane and says Nice doggie"

Yes.. poor Rev Headstrom [Ozzy] had his brain done in by Sammy Curr hehehe-->via the TV:w00t:

Seems we have more in common than crook backs... I have just about everything he's done, mostly on VHS, but Istill have a VCR hooked up to my TV for when I/we want to watch all that old stuff we don't have on DVD.

We've seen quite a few of the same movies... so now I'm wondering if we have similar tastes in music??  I'm mostly into the blues, 60's and 70's stuff, metal other than thrash or def, hard rock and jazz bues fusion... if it has a real mean axe involved I'm pretty much into it, 'cept punk and rap.

I never ever listen to pop crap on the radio, so I look for and seek out quite a lot of obscure stuff that never gets airplay on commercial stations: ie. Porcupine Tree; Lacrimas Prufundere. My Morning Jacket; David T Chastain; Perpetual Groove and Edenbridge, etc.... but I also have an extensive CD collection of clasic bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep and Nazareth, etc... not to mention Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Stones.

:)

Oh yeag, TG, if you can find it, Freeway with Reese Witherspoon and Keifer Sutherland is well worth a watch.  Witherspoon is excellent in her role, which is a far cry from the sweet goodie two shoes character she played in the Legally Blonde movies.

There is a sequel, Freeway II, but it does not star Witherspoon and lacks the punch of the first installment... however, it's not bad just the same.

Sweet, I love reese, and Keifer rocks!!

hehe me too, my Rutger movies are all VHS, just got to get them all on DVD now, oh yeah, another one, Blind Spot, that's a good one with Rutger & Rebbecca DeMorany [sp?]

Sadly, he wasn't looking like his handsome tough-guy self in Batman Begins, but I still love him:moon:

I got that on VHS... along with Wedlock, Blindside, Salute of the Jugger and others.

What got me into Rutger Hauer was when he put the grenade in Gene Simmons' mouth and the boss asks: "what about the bonus?" for bringing him in alive... and Rutger says: "F**k the bonus!" and pulls the pin.  Classic!

Personally, I don't care if he had a huge wart on the end of his nose... I'd still watch his movies and thinks he's great. ;)

F* the bonus was one of THE most awesome lines in any movie I've seen, that cracked me [and my Dad too] right up:grin:

Gene had a weird name, I can't spell it, so phonetically I'll give it a shot hehe, Malrak El Raheem?:P

I'm an idiot, Blindside was what I meant doh, not blind spot, silly me:blush:

Rutger in his RV "I don't give a sh!t about the neighbours" lol

Speaking of Rutger Hauer, I've been trying to get Omega Doom on DVD. Unfortunately it only appears to be on Region 1... You know, the one with the robots, the talking head used as a football etc.

There is a double feature DVD of Omega Doom/Blind Fury which would be even better - alas that too is Region 1 only >:(

Region 1 only

Have you checked to see if there's a way to make your player region free? Here's a good place to start.

I have a Blu-Ray and a HD - neither has hacks.

Hey Fuzzy, could you not just purchase the region 1 disc and reauthor it to be region free in something like DVD Dercrypter or a similar proggie??  I had to do that for a couple of DVD's mrs starkers really, really wanted but could only get online in region 1 and NTSC, someyhing our old PAL player would not play.  I don't know your thoughts or about the UK laws on this, but in a lot of countries you can backup DVD's and CD's if you keep the backup and original together, as proof you purchased it/them.

Dunno, it's just a thought which may help you . :)

I feel for you Fuzzy. When I bought a DVD-Recorder last year I made sure that it was code-free, as I was stuck with my collection of Region 4 DVD's as well as quite a few Region 1 DVD's. I don't know how it is over on the Island, but here in Switzerland it is perfectly legal and you can buy them in any shop (they are usually a bit more expensive, and you can't get every model, but it is worth the trouble).

We have also shops here that do the region-free unlocking on already purchased models. Maybe you have such a shop near you? Another possiblility would be to Google your model and see if there is an easy way to do this yourself (some Players can actually be unlocked through special codes that have to be entered via the remote). :)

How dare the Film-Industry divide the world into 5 regions!!!!  #:(

If on your computer use AnyDVD lifetime upgrades if buy in 2008 - try version available, otherwise Aldi do a region-free DVD couple times/year for about €70 solo or €150 with 5.1 speaker system - great system. Though £ is about 1.1 € now.

I've just been looking at a Philips DVP3120 - £24.97...! All you have to do is key in a code for it to be region free :O

I'm going to get something - as soon as I look into things further. I have to make sure of a few things first, like the connection to my DD decoder, whether my TV will accept NTSC as well as PAL etc. I think I'm ok, but better to be sure.

There are sooo many familiar films available on Region 1 which are not available on Region 2.

I got an LCD TV a few weeks ago, and a new DVD player, it wouldn't work with the TV, I thought the TV was stuffed, but I hooked up a couple of older DVD players I had, and they worked, well I got the newer player from the supermarket:blush: [no.. I'm not kidding, starkers, if you're reading this, it was Coles lol] and they said that particular player wasn't even made for AU movieso_O   so they swapped it for one that was.. I don't understand why they were selling it in the first place, or why it wouldn't work.. makes no sense to meX|

Ladyhawke with Rutger and Michelle Pfeiffer is cool film.

Rutger does great ads for Guinness in Ireland, not everything is black and white, good things come to those who wait.
