missing icons

advertisements and candidates

Sometimes, about 50% of the time actually, I start the game and my candidates don't show up on the map. You can click on them however, but it would just be a blank space with a circle around it. Today, in fact, the same thing happened with my advertising icons. Also, on occaision, the candidates are just replaced by fake characters in suits, or skirts, with no face. What's going on?

Hrmm weird.. What version of the game are you running?

If you don't know, you can find out by reading the first line of the Debug.err file (which can be opened with notepad). The file will be located here: "documents/my games/PolMachine2008/Debug.err". Replace "PolMachine2008" with "TPM2008Express" if you are playing the Express version.

It will also show the version number in the bottom right hand corner when you run the game, but I'm not sure if it has always done that or not. So if it's not there, check the debug.err file (as described above).
