all i see is huge penis exstention, Borg cube ripoff floating and being a giant ... Cube, with few pew pew lasers.

With the name i whuld expekt advance defens strutures and actualy some useful planetary defenses.

Only planetary defenses remotly useful right now are repair bays. Anything else is just meh.

Then again, im not shure i want a planets capable of unpenetrable hedgehog defenses.

Ofcorse.

This may be some LOL  WARLORD TITANS IN SPACE thing, but as every MP player worth it salt knows, if enemy can afford to build suprwepons and you cant stop him, youve allredy lost or doing something wrong.

So, what does this contribute to existing sins?

.... thing that comes in mind is "assasination" game mode, everone gets a supercube in start and last supercube standing wins

I must say I am slightly annoyed that there are no screens of the Advent or Vasari starbases.

Also, lol usless capitalships instad of useful things

They will be upgradeable - you get to pick what you add on - e.g. able to build ships

The Starbase looks nothing like a Borg Cube. That Starbase isnt even a cube in the first place. The whole point to entrenchement IS advanced defense structures. Defenses wont be umpenetreble because of anti-starbase cruisers.

Still no pictures of the other starbases?

It's so TEC. Just a big giant box with a crapload of guns.

Two things I was most impressed by were the new skybox and finally seeing a shield bubble around the starbase.  Mostly just the scale of it really gives the impression it can soak up some incoming fire.

Nice! Only downside of enchantement pack is that its release date 1. January 2009 my vecation is almost over then.

If you did, you can forget that release date and join the rest of us in wondering day by day if the beta will be out when we get up in the morning, only to find that it's not.

Obviously the solution is not to get up in the morning!

Very cool! I can imagine what Vasari and Advent Starbases will look like, but it's nice to have some suprises.

BTW, will the beta be "complete", or will you hold some content for release?

Pretty sure Blair said somewhere that it should be complete.

The beta is for balance I'm sure - they've probably finished all the new stuff.
