Sins: Entrenchment Delayed to Allow for Public Beta Testing

Stardock and Ironclad Games have decided to delay the final release of Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment, the first micro-expansion for the hit stratey game.  Originally slated for release on November 18th, Entrenchment will first be put through a public beta test for pre-order customers.  This will allow us to finely hone Entrenchment ahead of its final public debut, the date of which has not yet been set (it will largely depend on beta feedback).

While we know this will disappoint some in the Sins community, we feel this will help make Entrenchment a far stronger product overall.

If you don't pre-order entrenchment, will you still be able to beta test it?  I'm just curious, and it's also bcuz I am not sure I'll be able to pre-order (no credit card, I have to use a parent's, and thus have to persuade them to get it for me, and then I have to pay them back)

maybe this was already said and I didn't see it.

The way I understand it, a pre-order is needed to play the beta unless you're Brad, Blair or Craig. They have powers that allow them to get around the pre-order, while enticing others to fork over 10$. ^_^

i just pre-ordered it!!!! wooo hooo.  i assume there will be some message on the website or on impulse or an email to tell us that we can d/l the beta?  can anyone confirm?

There usually is (back when SDC was still used, you had to get your serial in the e-mail account you signed up with... with Impulse, it's automatic... so I'm not 150% sure, but I'd bet there is!)
