Can winstep xtreme be updated through Impulse?  

Nope.

For those who have not tried the software, I have one two words - simply amazing! I've been using the software for many years now. Great updates Jorge! I'm hoping to upgrade to the newest versions as soon as there are a few dollars to spare here.

Are there any tutorials on skinning this? ;p And WOW....the taste of things to come looks really cool! :CONGRAT:

There's a very old tutorial on the Help page of the Winstep web site, but some of the information in it, particularly in what concerns WorkShelf, is now a bit incorrect. You will find plenty of information in the NextSTART and WorkShelf User Guides though (just click the Help button in Preferences).

Bottom line, as with everything related to skinning, the best way still is to study existing themes to figure out how the other skinners did it.

Also, feel free to pester me with questions via the Winstep support address and/or Winstep Forums.   

Too bad i missed it. Well, i still plan on buying it today anyway. Can't wait to get y hands on it and play around with it.

Ok JC....got a question. How do I restore the settings so that when I choose a theme it applies the same top dock as the bottom. It was doing that but for some reason...mostly likely I hit something I didn't want to...it does apply it...it just uses one background and doesn't apply the themes.

 

Update! Never mind....figured it out.

Apparently....a lot of settings in here I have to get figured out....but getting there! Next thing to do is start making themes. And need some better icons to launch the programs. Already made a Winstep icon for myself from your logo. And I also want to say that it was awesome of you as well as a smart idea to give us this discount during these hard financial times.....better to sell some at $19 than none at $79. :CONGRAT:

Seems you are having a better experience with this app than me WG. Took the plunge (should have tried the trial first, oh well)but having major issue with Reserve Screen Space which it doesn't. Can't maximize my windows. I am waiting for Jorge to get back to me with some solution. I hit the Winstep forum but it seems no one has had this issue. Funny thing is with Winstep not running my machine runs okay no problem.

I didn't understand a word of that ... but yeah, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You're an exceptionally great guy with a top class product and it rocks my PC world.

"Told you so." LOL. Is Jorge great or what? The app suite is awesome and works so well with WB, it's unreal. It's really gratifying that Jorge is seeing such a rebirth of interest in WSX.

Ok JC...need to pick your brain. When I add a new program to the quick launch tab in the bottom shelf its not letting me change the icon for it. And if I drag an icon/png image to it I get a white background rather than a transparent one. ;p

I Actually Had A Trial Of This Version For A Month And Its Great. It Doesnt Conflict With Windows Blinds or any other Stardock Programs And It Lets you Do Things Like.............Right Click On A Task In The Taskbar And Adjust Its Transparency So You Can See Multiple Windows At The Same Time.

How cool is the fact that you can exclude a task on the task bar from being included in a desk top snapshot by right clickin on that task and choosing the "Add To Desktop Snapshot Exclusion List"?

The program is incredibly powerful. Lotsa stuff to learn and play with here. I undocked the Start/Task bar (WinStep) and moved it all over the desktop. You can also have it zip back to really small tab that returns to original size by clicking it. I occasionally close it and use WB. Aero lo-res and "Zing!" are really cool together.

The coming developments will make it even easier to deal with. Great program.
