So, What Are You In For?

So, What Are You In For?

Which customizing app got you hooked and why?

I'm just curious: Which customizing program got you into it all? Which one is your fave, and why?

For me, it was ObjectDock. And I have to admit, it was about the time that Mac OS X Leopard came out. (Don't crucify me! 8O ) I was so intrigued with Leopard that I began looking into Windows dock programs. The rest is history...

I have since come to the realization that my infatuation with Leopard was all cosmetic. I still love Windows, and I love it more with OD+!

Then it was all downhill from there. I decided to get the Object Desktop package. I began using WindowBlinds, RightClick, IconPackager, Desktop X, and now Fences! Will it ever stop?!?! I hope not! XD

OD+ is still my fave, but I gotta admit: I'm hooked on it all!

How 'bout you... ?

I'm not too sure what to name in his honour, tho... perhaps a Zubish dictionary that new inmates can keep under their bunk mattresses to give 'em a 'heads up' on prison-speak.

Brilliant! The only problem is that, in Zubish, words are never spelled the same way twice!

Hmmmm! Didn't think of that! Well it's gonna be a mighty thick dictionary, then... we'd have to have several Zubish variants for each word

Gawd, its just occurred to me that newbies wouldn't be able to hide the dictionaries under their mattresses/bunks....

Oh well, we'd have to have a shelf or three in the Jafo library dedicated to the Zubish volumes.

O:)

Yeah, I thought that... us old timers have to scrounge around for an old bag to fill with anything soft we can find.  Mine's filled with bits of scrunched up newspaper, discarded cleaning cloths from the kitchen... and any time somebody shaves off their beard, I snaffle the hair for my 'mattress' bag.

Only drawback to that' however, is when they got real coarse hair and refuse to use conditioner cos it's considered too sissy... it's like sleeping on a bed of nails.

O:)

Man, I bet that smells funny...

Yup, sure does... all the refuse goes into the conditioner/grinder and comes out the other end all mashed together and looking much like a really long turd... smells a lot like one as well.

:S ;P

An inventor friend of mine is inventing a politician recycler.... they're supposed to go down the grinder chute and come out the other end as half-way decent human beings.  As hard as he may try, I just get the feeling there's no way on Earth it's gonna work.  Every time he updates me on how it's going, that George Thorogood song comes to mind... "Bad to the Bone"

O:)

Oh yeah, when we get our new art gallery dedicated, I reckon we should have some Goth stuff hung on the walls and name it after our very own KittyMalone.

All in favour say Aye!

I went to download.com and saw this thing called ObjectDock,I tried it and it worked so well I tried another Stardock freebie,WindowBlinds. Both looked so good and ran so well and were so easy for a newb like me to use,I bought WB's and a WC sub.Shortly thereafter I realized there was much more to Stardock than those two apps.I upped my WB standalone to ODNT Ultimate and have been given a life sentence of downloading and learning to skin as well.

As for a favorite,I seldom use a WB without a DX theme, and DX is without a doubt my most loved program.

There you have it,my entire skinning life history.:smitten:

My boss walked into my office today, saw my Outer Limits theme and said, "Cool wallpaper!"

What he meant was, "You have a cool freakin' fully-customized setup!"

Well I've just commited another crime... in the hope of a prolonged sentence..

I downloaded and installed a circular dock... and tho I'm not too fussed on it, if I have to, I'll say that I like it to get extra time for bad behaviour.

Yup, they're going to have to carry me out of here in a pine box, cos I ain't goin' willingly. O:)
