WASD controls

Can anyone who's played this confirm if the game allows WASD control of the Demigods yet?

I read one writeup that said the PAX build had it, and another that said it wouldn't be in beta 1.

Almost tempted to preorder to find out.. almost.

I'm not sure that is really a good basis for whether DemiGod is viable.  Seems to be a little limited but your money, your choice.

From what i've read, the WASD keys control the camera not the Demigod. There is a thread in "Demigod Ideas" started by innociv to demand WASD movement though. :)

DEMAND lol.

Tyo says it doesn't fit with the gameplay style.  Maybe people like me that like WASD for character movement will still think he's wrong after we've played a bunch, but he's the one that's been playing it so far, beta still isn't out.

Hmm, Tyo one of the developers?  That's disappointing to hear.  I always thought DoTA's gameplay style was hindered by War3's controls (literally clicking 10x per second to micro a unit/cancel animations/orbwalking etc.. when the same moves could be achieved more efficiently and naturally with WASD movement while using the mouse to aim/scroll screen).  Maybe I'm just getting old and starting to develop carpal tunnel =P  But if they aren't going to do anything to improve/set themselves apart from DoTA, I might as well just keep on playing DoTA.

QWER and control your special moves, then you use the arrow keys to move around.

I'm finding this very hard to use because I have to move from one side of the keyboard to move to the other side to control the special moves.

It would make much more sense to use WASD to control movement and then 1234 to control special moves, this control system seems crazy.

Also anyone know how to rotate the camera?

I would like to see this and have mouse panning implented.  The zoom system worked well in supcom but I don't think it fits in this type of game.  I don't like having to zoom my camera out and back in (or reach over to the arrow keys) in order to move my camera an inch to the right.  I should be ablet o do that with just a flick of the wrist.

Demigod looks like it has a ton of potential (and also fixes all the problems I have with dota) but it's all ruined by the way the camera works.

Hold down the space/middle mouse/right mouse buttons when moving the mouse.
