A lot of people have played dota, and the most soul destroying aspect of the game more so in battle net where i refuse to play anymore but have been refined to a clique irc channel that will ban leavers.

What will be done in Demigod to prevent people from simply dropping mid game because they are doing badly? And destroying the game for the others playing. Even if AI were to take over that char I don't think any AI is compareable to decent human player. There also must be some sort of penalty for the leaver.

Perhaps there should be an unintrusive box that asks the remaining players whether to vote the leaver down? Sometimes people are disconnected by accident, and people can generally spot a leaver from a crappy-internet-connection victim.

Adding to this, what should be done about leavers? Give them a loss and a leave? That would take all the motivation to leave away, and let victims of bad internet not be punished unduly.
