As a fan of the show the west wing i think it would be kinda cool if you were to create the characters in the show. You could add President Bartlett(would have to be a unlockable candidate because he would be to good a candidate in real life)(Democrat), Governor Ritchie(Republican), Congressman Santos(Democrat), Senator Vinick(Republican), Vice President Russell(Democrat), Former Acting President Walken(Republican) Former Vice President Hoynes(Democrat), Vice President Elect Leo McGarry(Democrat), Governor Baker(democrat) Speaker Haffley(democrat). 

There Certainly other none office holders you could put into the game such as Josh Lyman, Toby Ziegler, Sam Seaborn, some of the numerous religious characters that appear throughout the show. With the show being not only a great show but actually very good in terms of political realism, i think this wouldn't be a bad idea
