Lastly, all this Stardock crap is just bloatware. Any serious PC person knows this. I have friends that know more about computers than anyone here on the site. Some of the shit they can do and the knowledge they have...it'll blow your mind. They too even think Stardock is bloatware.

Firstly, when your friends are Microsoft Gold Certified as Stardock is then maybe what they think will matter to us.

I have WindowBlinds, IconPackager, RightClick, CursorFX and ObjectDock Plus ( all settings set for performance, all maxed out.) running on a system with a 2.4 gig Celeron with 1 gig of ram that only runs at 266 due to the Celeron, I have no slow down, sluggishness or lag issues at all. In fact WindowBlinds is faster than running default XP Luna.

That isn't surprising. Especially if it's the default Windows theme. I respect Microsoft for it's lack of design/UI efforts. If Windows looked cool, nobody would use WindowBlinds. Thanks MS!

That'll teach him to mess with us! LOL

Rofl are you kidding me?

Even seabass is a liar. No retail store laptop has access to the internet. Fail.

well Mr., then what are you doing here asking questions that your all mighty friends can answer?  ;)

Yeah
Even seabass is a liar

And I thought he asked you to shut that foul mouth too. I can't see how that's lying.

No offense, but please consider being polite at the least. Instead of "Even seabass is a liar", try using "I think Seabass is incorrect on one of the points he mentioned in his post". What Seabass said was probably the most correct reply in the thread.

Look. WinCustomize/Stardock proved its point, and so did you.
Now get up from rolling on the floor laughing, and call your Super-Ultra-Mega-Tech-Geeks for an alternative. You don't have to post here if all you can do is tell others that they're liars.

Hello g52,

As a Best Buy employee I can tell you that although we may not prefer people to have internet access on the display machines, we often connect them to the network for demo reasons, etc. And although Best Buy may not like 3rd party software on the machines, I guarantee you it's been done. Seabass made some good points as to the merits of the features of ObjectDock Plus (love the app Stardock, keep it up!) but you somehow seem to think that your personal opinion should sway the development. That's like calling out Microsoft because the background in Office '07 is blue and not green. It's foolish and asinine to think that your own thoughts on what is good for you and not others should be the absolute guide by which the app should be developed.

Lastly, all this Stardock crap is just bloatware. Any serious PC person knows this. I have friends that know more about computers than anyone here on the site. Some of the shit they can do and the knowledge they have...it'll blow your mind. They too even think Stardock is bloatware.

WHAT? Are you freakin' serious! You fail HARD with that BS. This entire site is for people who enjoy OS customization and customization software, of which Stardock's apps are basically the industry standard. You may as well have trolled on to a site for bikers and told them all that leather and long beards are for sissy girls. This entire community is going to come down hard on BS like that. Who cares what your alleged friends think about computers. If they're so against it, why use it in the first place? Sounds to me like someone needs a time out and a big glass of be-quiet-and-talk-when-you-fail-less. Plus, anyone who describes someone with technical knowledge of any kind as "knowing a bunch about computers" should be beat about the face with a rake. I bet my friends know a billion-kajillion times more about computers than yours anyways! ;p

I did that once...now I eat through a straw.

Guys, there's no need to jump on the 'mildly mis-informed'.

People may have opinions that can only be described as 'naive' but it then is the more experienced among us to provide clarification/education, not derision...;)

Guys, there's no need to jump on the 'mildly mis-informed'.

A small kindle is all it takes to make a wild fire Jafo! Problem with that is, no one standing in this community is going to allow anyone to walk in here just to bad-mouth the software that brings us all here in the first place. That's just not going to happen.

So as badly as this person got torched, he will realize that misinformed or low opinion without merit will open a flood gate from hell everytime.

He's not the first and certainly not the last with low opinions.

And if he just had a death wish or wanted to commit suicide, he could have found a building or a bridge to jump off of! That's merciful compared to getting flamed in here!

 ;)

I'm sure the first person to think of building a pc had friends who told him it was a waste too.  ;)

That only works when people show an ap·ti·tude (capability; ability; innate or acquired capacity) for listening...and dare I say appreciating.

Not for someone who starts foaming at the mouth and spewing expletives, detriments and insults, then it's time to show them the door....IMO.

Got it in ONE... OK, maybe TWO. ;) However, I think g52 should be allowed to stay... to provide some 'hotter than hot' entertainment value around here.

Oh, and I got some leftover torches from the Sydney Olympics going dirt cheap... for anyone who's into serious flaming. ;p
