Anyone Else Tired Of "JESUS" articles?

While I find the man himself an interesting character be he for real or just made up stories for the masses. The message left from the stories about him are indeed good ones, love thy neighbor, be of good character, be humble, Etc!

While the deeds done in his name have not followed any of his teachings, The inquisition, the crusades, the discrimination of the Jews; the huge split among the Christians themselves into many, many fractions, all of them believing theirs is the only way to G-ds door! what Bullshit!

I have seen so many articles on Jesus, none of them can even agree with themselves, each Christian having their own view on how Jesus wants them to be! If Jesus exists he is pulling his hair out in shame at how Christians behave.

The seventh Day adventist declares the southern baptists is a heretic, the Catholic says the Apostolic is nuts and on and on!

Please stoPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one knows for sure if Jesus is the son of G-d for SURE! Stop saying he is!

lol...I come from a largely LDS area at the moment, and I have to tell you something:  While I don't necessarily agree with all their theology, most of the Mormon families I've met are very cohesive and love and take care of their children, AND their neighbors, like no other people I've known.  I don't know many other churches who actually actively encourage their congregants to go out into the community and preach the gospel.

What it comes down to is we can learn alot from each other.  I don't think God would want us to say "Oh, I'm Evangelical Free, and I think those Baptists are morons because they're different from me."  I think He'd much rather we looked at supporting one another as Christian brothers and sisters rather than nitpicking our differences.

Okay.  Sorry.  I'm done now.

I was an Adventist and I have a very good friend who is.  We agree on alot of things including who Jesus is.

I agree with many other denominations when it comes to the person of Christ.  I may not believe in some of their side issues, but the essentials are what is most important anyhow.

Wonderful comment!!!! My sentiments exactly Marcie

With the times spent trashing one another ALL the religions could be spending time in brother and sisterhood In G-D instead of all the Bullshit!

Wish I could take credit for thinking this up, but I found it elsewhere online and cannot:

I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge,
about to jump off. So I ran over and said "stop! don't do it!"

"Why shouldn't I?" he said.

I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!"

He said, "Like what?"

I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?"

He said, "Religious."

I said, "Me too! Are you Christian or Buddhist?"

He said, "Christian."

I said, "Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant?"

He said, "Protestant."

I said, "Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?"

He said, "Baptist!"

I said, "Wow! Me too! Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?"

He said, "Baptist Church of God!"

I said, "Me too! Are you original Baptist Church of God, or are you Reformed
Baptist Church of God?"

He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God!"

I said, "Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1879,
or Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915?"

He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915!"

I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off.

That is a matter of faith just like belief in God or as I like to call him (see I still think of God as a him)  father/mother/God - how is that for heretical?

Roylevosh - that was hilarious.

To answer your question: yes, I am sick and tired of these articles.  I'm also over the techno-geek and liberal bashing articles but everyone has a right to write what they want here.  It is a personal blog site, after all.

Having said this, I agree with your take on the confusion of Christianity.  Can you imagine what might happen if they all decided to agree with each other and form a single church.  The rest of us wouldn't stand a chance  (For the dense - I am trying to be funny).

 at Roy

I agree MM... It would be great if Drag could install a Jesus filter

actually MM I'd say no to your question. I could talk about Jesus all day long.... ;)

But hafta say...Roy that was funny!

Christianity isn't all that confusing if you're a Christian. I met a Nazarene on the plane last week and we hit it off. He was at least 20 years older than I. I've never been a Nazarene but our spirits united and bore witness of one another. The problem is there are many groups out there that claim they are Christian and they're simply not. That's what makes it confusing to a non-Christian.

Not bad. You only target one sect!

Actually, if you call yourself Christian, and don't have any additions to the Bible since the early Church (third-hand accounts, around 200 AD, give or take), I don't consider you heretical. It's not a solid law, but it's more or less how I interpret it.

And I don't try to kill the heretics. I try to convert them.

only if they're not Christian. In other words I can fellowship with any Christian regardless of denomination but I couldn't fellowship in the spiritual sense if they were not Christian or if they said they were but were Christians in name only. There's a barrier there that is spiritual not physical.

Lula and I are examples. She's a Catholic and I'm a Protestant. We get alone quite fine and agree on alot of spiritual matters. Only when she says the CC is the only right church do I have an issue with her. If she stays on topic about Christ or the scriptures, we're fine. If she starts in about the Pope(s) we're going to disagree. It has nothing to do with Jesus and all to do with man-made religions.

Just stop reading them if your not interested in them?

I'm not a man of religion, but anyone can post what they want, as much as they want (well within reason). So sorry mate, you just gotta deal with it.

Anyone Else Tired Of "JESUS" articles?

Please stoPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why?

Isn't it those articles in the religion section or (if in other categories but are about Christ or religion)  that get the highest number of comments?

What does that tell us? The answer to my own question Why? The reason why discussion about CHrist won't stop is because everybody, whether for or against,  is interested in Christ. It's just the way that it is.

When you think about it...no one today actively hates anyone else from 2000 years ago..even those horrific tyrants as Nero...but the gentle and meek Christ is still hated.

That alone says something of  the Man-God and the power of His teachings...Jesus Christ is the dividing line and will be until the end of the world.

...and here's a little something about that.

“It’s Not Easy Being Everyone’s

Raison D’Etre

You just can’t understand

the pressure

the expectation

everyone claiming you

wanting a piece of you

the Jews claim me

as one of theirs own

but you know how

that all ended up

and the Christians

think they’re all doing things

in my name

the Muslims call me

a prophet

but still subordinate me

the Buddhists draw parallels

and come closer than most

and the atheists love me

because they find their strongest arguments

in my weakest followers

I’m tired of being everyone’s

raison d’etre

it’s lonely

being the leader of it all

does anyone just say

“here’s a beautiful rose

I grew for you”

“listen to this song

your story inspired”

“do you need someone

to talk to, Jesus?”

I’m tired of everyone asking me for stuff

using me

can’t someone just get over themselves

and their crippling insecurity

long enough

to just sit by my side

and keep me company

just like any other friend

would do.

Am I tired of Jesus articles?

Not really.

Since I believe Jesus is God, I don't have a problem with people who are so in love with Him they are compelled to write about Him.

Am I tired of the disagreements?

Yeah, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't learn a lot from those too.

Ya know who I miss on the religion articles?  Bakerstreet.  He really had a way of winnowing things down to common sense and cutting straight to the heart of a matter.

You don't believe Jesus is God.  You don't believe Jesus is the son of God.  You are tired of the Jesus articles.

Got it.

I love ya anyway.:d

Nah...this isn't right. It's just the opposite. Christ never tires of us or our need.

Christ tells us what He wants us to do.

"Come to me, all you that labor, and are burdened, and I will refresh you. take up My yoke upon you, and learn of Me, becasue I am meek and humble of heart: and you shall find rest in your souls. For My yoke is sweet and My burden light."

I never said no one could write about Jesus, I asked if anyone ELSE was tired of seeing articles about Jesus, there i9s a huge difference between the two. My statement and what you think you saw.

Not exactly true, the highest responded articles are techie ones, and my article about Terry Schiavo {sp?} was over 325 responces.
