Need SomeHelp With the Torians

I read TA101 and i find it very helpful, as the Post states i try to win the colony rush, but i just cant seem to  pull it off.

Mainly the problem is i cant seem to build ships fast enough. When i play the yor i can build all my ships quickly and even if i cant put all my planets to work quickly i can still colonize a lot of worlds. With the Torians i got all my worlds working very quickly with thier 1 per planet improvments but still it takes them 21w to finish a colony ship and even if i manage to put all my worlds to produce colony ships i the start is still to slow.

So im asking for a couple of guidlines on how to play with the torians in the colony rush.(Maybe ill hacve to start rush buying)

21w for a colony ship after the central mine is in and your focused on mil spending? I know you didn't put all those details in there, but I saw build times near 6w if the planet was only building a colony ship.

So I guess I'm saying to just worry about placing that mine and starport in, then build more colony ships. Once the colony rush is over, then fill out the planets.

I tried your advice Loud and it work like a charm, i never liked to focus on military because then my reaserch and my first 2 worlds development went to slow but on the other hand i ended up with most planets i could grab.

For the first time the machine(Cripling) didnt get a couple of planets of my sphere of influence.

Well even when i did that and the colony rush went better than any other in my life, i was still stuck, i had the bad luck of being to close to the kryn and they got a masive amount of planets. It seems that all thier stars had 3 or 4 habitable planets.

One question how can i know exactly how many planets a race have?

As long as you have met them and thus they are in the diplomacy window, if you look at the Stats tab there and pick that race and then choose the bottom box "Social" I think it's called (I'm away from my game PC) it'll tell you how many planets they current have inhabited. No level of espionage is needed for that.

No, primative would be going to the diplomacy screen and physically counting the number of planets they have available to trade  :NOTSURE:

Loupdinour's way is considerably better.

Also, that stats tab has tons of other info in it. Economic information, approval, military info, research info...

The one I visit the most is the economic part to see if they are running a deficit...mainly when I'm either at war with them or trying to crush them with spies. Once I get them in a deficit via spies, it's all over for them :)

Is all the problems solved? I would hate for someone to read my guide and walk away completely confused.

JEJEJEJEJEJ, the guide was great i just couldnt make a good start.

But now its all good, im controling the galaxy right now, i have an inmense production capacity XD , as a matter of fact i im so strong that i completly destroyed the arceans even if they had medium against my smalls(the fact that i had 18 planets against his 5 had nothing to do with it).

A very bad thing hapend, the altarians surrenderd to the yor, now the yor control 1/3 of the planets and he thinks that i might be his next target.
