Wow, I just realized that it does say I'm 18, I wish. As none of the other information is filled out, feel free to believe that or believe otherwise because I know I sound like an 18 year old. Actually, I think I sound like I'm 10, can I be ten years old? I think I want to change it to 5, that was in 76 so can I be 5, someone tell me how to change it.

Hear that Ghostwes, Carbon, IDMopman, find in my posts where I said medical experiments as we can't edit our posts it should still be there. Hell, last time I checked, we can't even delete them. Ether find where I said it or shut the hell up about it.


unfortunately, I have no idea where in my posts I even mentioned "medical experiments", so it's kind of unlikely that I have to debate you on this point.

They why are they saying I said it...oh yeah, I'm the the hate of the month, that's why. By the way Danielost, does this mean I have to give you the cookie :) Just so you know, they were not killed in medical experiments as far as I know, they were killed because they disagreed with Saddam (yes, yes, I know we helped put in him in power and supported him, blah blah) or because they were Kurds. If you know something more, please fill me in about it, I'll proudly admit when I am wrong (or when my country is...hear that IDMopman).

Nope, just feeling old these days Carbon and wishing for youth. Mortality does that to you. As to the thing about medical experiments and you not saying anything about it, I'm sorry for lumping you into the group. You were one of the dissenters and I thought you had, I'm sorry for including you (seriously, though I doubt you believe that I mean it, I am sorry). I think I figured out why there are obvious paragraphs for me and not for others, I have my monitor on 1920 by 1200 which makes all this pretty small. I will make sure to put full, empty lines between my next long one. Didn't think it would matter, I'm used to reading stuff like that in books.

That was less their great tactic and more our bad tactic.
Maybe a better statement would be "Realistically, a developing country military isn't going to be able to stand up for a moment to the US, unless we are trying to help the ppl who live there."
I think if we had a great desire beat a country into submission, that wouldn't be much of a problem. But it's hard to separate the good from the bad at 40,000 feet.

i would also slightly question the credentials of any school who "offered a major in Islam" considering I don't think people usually major in religions.


People who plan to have religion as their life's work major in religion. My father-in-law has a Masters in Divinity and his wife and daught have Masters in Lay Ministry. How do you think pastors and priests get their jobs?
I'm not gonnna bother addressing the other obvious ignorance you were spewing. Please don't represent us sensible Americans. And this is coming from one that has had to come to grips with the fact that maybe we should have just stuck to Afganistan.

there is a difference between "I majored in religious studies" or "I majored in middle eastern culture" and "I MAJORED IN ISLAM", namely the latter makes absolutely zero sense.

Yes, saying "I majored in Islam" doesn't make sense . . . but people do get their doctorates by emphasizing one religion. It is an absurd statement from a semantic viewpoint, but that doesn't mean someone didn't in some form "major in Islam."

While the OTF here is the catch-all place for anything you want to discuss that's not games-related, we request that users refrain from starting overtly political and religious threads here, or others that are very likely to veer to such topics. Such threads more often than not degenerate into flamewars and do nothing to engender friendship and camaraderie among fellow players; in fact they often do the opposite and drive players away.
