LogonStudio Vista wont start

Hello,

 Every time I try to load LogonStudio Vista the program it stops. I am running Vista Home Premium SP1. The error generated is below:

Are you trying to install LogonStudio Vista from Stardock Central or Impulse? If Stardock Central then try downloading from Impulse.

Same here. My desktop is Ultimate x64. Logon Studio Vista runs great on my laptop--Vista Business x32.

I don't believe it's supported under 64-bit..

Though it also doesn't run for me, however, and I am running Vista Business 32-bit.. Whenever I try to run it, the program just crashes out with a Generic 'Logon Studio has stopped working' error :(

I don't even get as much information as above.

Hi, for me too It's the same problem, logonstudio vista crash when I try to run it on my vista x64 sp1 system. What's strange is it used to work great before on same config... but I had a hard drive failure which forced me to reinstall all my system and apps. And now no more logonstudio, sad thing hey

It's not working for me either,

"logonstudio vista has stopped working"

neither on my 64-bit vista ultimate nor 32-bits home premium, both sp1

It did work on Vista64 before SP1 was released.

Are you trying to install LogonStudio Vista from Stardock Central or Impulse? If Stardock Central then try downloading from Impulse.


I believe it is actually the other way round for this problem. People have been reporting that the version on SDC is currently working with SP1, while the slightly newer version on Impulse will not cooperate with Vista SP1.

Been trying to find the link to the thread discussing this, but can't find it....

So i checked differences between Impulse and SDC, and yes on Impulse there is a more recent,alpha version 1.00a[a].017 of Logontudio Vista, whereas SDC provides version 1.00.02.

Unfortunately I tried the solution tu uninstall impulse's alpha build, then installed the build providd on SDC, but that didn't solve the problem, I'm still getting the same "CLR20r3" application error.

I have the latest Impulse download of Logonstudio Vista for 32 bit and I am also experiencing the problem of it shutting down.
I click to start it then I get a message from the vista o/s saying it is shutting down.
I am now unable to use it. (:(

I just checked with LogonStudio latest "stable" build v1.00.06, I also get the same error with that one... Come on, it's been a week since this topic has been created and we haven't any reply from someone from Stardock !

Also having this problem. Am running Vista Ultimate Sp1. Out of curiosity have any of you guys logged this with stardock support as well as reporting it here? Am going to raise a ticket myself a little later.

guess what, I finally got LogonStudio to work ! What I did ? Instead of downloading from impulse or SDC, I downloaded it from download.com ...

I'm bumping this again because I don't want to use the stand alone version.I prefer to use Impulse or SDC as all my apps are kept up to date that way.
Is a working update of Logonstudio Vista going to be put up on Impulse?

Yer I understand how you feel especially because i am new to all this. I only just installed Object Desktop Ultimate and from what i was told by Stardock support from my few questions before i downloaded/purchased anything they told me to use Impulse so i downloaded it and then purchased ODU today only to find this annoying little problem. I have sent a ticket to Stardock and am just waiting for a reply. And I too want a working version on Impulse as i dont want to have to remember to download updated versions each time i have to as the memory isnt as good as it shld be :P

Anyhow if someone has found out a solution to this without the need for downloading via download.com or any other third party sites it would be much appreciated to know it :)

same here... wondering whether this is something I should have purchased. bought object desktop and got impulse working so far. First thing i try is vista logonstudio and I get an error at startup... hmmm Wonder what the return policy is?

Add me to the list. Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit. LogonStudio Vista used to work and now it does not, runnning it directly from the shortcut or from Impulse.

Ditto the problems for me too. Tried uninstalling and re-installing with Impulse. Using Vista SP1 64bit.
