No thank you ;)

PS.: Is it at all possible to make/receive calls with it? ;p

Where did you see that price? Hard to believe.

I've spent some time with my son's iPod Touch and a friend's first-version iPhone and there is a lot to like about them. Assuming the phone function itself is decent on the 3G (my Motorola Razr is pretty pathetic on that score - hard to believe the iPhone could be worse), I plan to buy one.

Ah, found the info on price. AT&T gets it on the back end with a $10/mo bump in the cost of the data package. Still, it will take 2 years before the total cost of ownership exceeds the current cost - by then, who knows what will be available. Far better smartphone that addresses most of the first generation's shortcomings for virtually the same two-year cost of ownership - seems like a deal to me.

It will be on sale on 11th July. Got to have one  :HOT:

As long as it is exclusive to AT&T, I will be one of tens of millions who will continue to resist.

Love of iPhone <<<<<<< Hatred of AT&T

Can it make toast? If not, it's a waste of money...

Agreed, couldn't of said it any better.

+1.

I'm so sick of the blagosphere creaming their pants over Apple's products. Like Mike said, gimme a Nokia N95 any day.

But heck - I don't want all those features in a phone. I can't imagine needing to browse the internet when I'm out and about - I want to be out and about. I've got an mp3 player that has much higher sound quality than anything Apple can put out, so I wouldn't want the iPhone's crappy music player.

Plus, I just like to be contrary and avoid the hyped-up fad that is the iPhone.

3G was something I was looking forward to myself, but as Snowman said...Ah well.
Anyway, does anyone know when it'll be on sale in Asia? :)

I can resist for three reasons:

1. I don't have that kind of disposable income.
B. I don't like people, much less talking to them.

Same here unfortunately I'm stuck with a minimum of 2 cell phones at all times thanks to my job along with my home phone and office phone both when I'm in my apartment. X-(

Wizard1956, love it.............oh wait a minute I have one of the expensive Motorola Flip Phones from Tracfone.
Hell if Tracfones per minute prices are anything like they used to be (50 - 75 cents/minute) I don't think I can think of anyone I'd want to talk to bad enough to use one.

16.6cents a minute. I bought a card that doubles the airtime of all cards purchased after it with no time limit. It never roams on me either. And Tracfone works well in this neck of the woods, Verizon and Sprint don't. :D

It depends on what Telia charges here in DK, I already have the first gen. iPhone and I love it. Best damn phone I've ever had, because it's soooo much more than just a phone. I'll get the new one sooner or later though, perhaps even hold of for 3rd gen. that hopefully sports a better camera and some better software features like MMS and video recording. Can't believe some standard functionality like those aren't in the iPhone by default. You can get it by some of the apps through Installer though, but they're not really that good unfortunately.
