I am the target demographic, I have the money to burn, and I love the little gadget, but as long as it is bundled with AT&T...never gonna happen. My blackberry is getting upgraded to the Bold or the touchscreen Thunder and my little iPod Touch is covering everything else. :)

Here is another reason to resist. I'm surprised no one is bothered by this.

Hell if Tracfones per minute prices are anything like they used to be (50 - 75 cents/minute) I don't think I can think of anyone I'd want to talk to bad enough to use one.

I use my tracfone while on the road(the hiway not the city streets)and sometimes at the rig.I don't feel the need to have a phone stuck in my head while I'm driving, walking and eating like a lot of people. All in all my cell phone service cost me about $100 per year.

16.6cents a minute. I bought a card that doubles the airtime of all cards purchased after it with no time limit. It never roams on me either. And Tracfone works well in this neck of the woods, Verizon and Sprint don't.

Me too.

They didn't ask for my SSN, but then I'm already an AT&T customer.
