The Draft will begin on THURSDAY, JUNE 5th, 2008 and end once FireBender has made the 10th Draft Pick, at which point the remaining players will be randomly placed onto the teams.

Round Nine of the MVL will begin (assuming the Draft proceeds in a timely manner) on MONDAY, JUNE 9th, 2008

Team B would also like to propose a trade of the #8 draft pick and two bonus points to team A in exchange for the #6 pick (pending approval of the league commissioner, as bundling points earned in the bonus round was proposed and there seemed to be no objection, but no direct confirmation either).

Just so everyone knows, i may not be around the PC when the draft gets back to me, so i have Pm'd my next choice and some alternates to SB and he will submit my draft pick if need be on my behalf.

Sorry, but no I don't think so. Also so much for my strategy of dropping down to try and keep the A team together as much as possible.

On the other hand congratulations are in order to the league for recognizing the excellence that was developed on the A Team over this last season. On the other hand the point is to mix it up and give players a chance to be exposed to multiple styles of play.

Anyway with the 5th pick the A Team selects the master of massive multiple submissions, PlayJeff (hopefully he can get one submitted in time).

With the 6th pick the A Team chooses the commissioner, Silverbeacher.

The first pick that didn't go according to my draft projection (thank you to Silverbeacher and KzintiEmperor for helping me prepare!) was Seven300 (who I simply overlooked.. doh :)), so I think all the captains have been thinking along very similar lines indeed :).

wow, some surprises indeed.

I have updated the OP to reflect who has already been selected; also I added FreeLancer to the list.

Only FireBender remains to make his final choice.

Once that has been posted, the remaining players will be randomly placed onto the teams.

At that time, I would strongly suggest captains to PM their members. Team Forum access will most likely not be available until either late tonight or sometime tomorrow.

I am granting this weekend for teams to communicate and get situated, and Round 9 of the MVL will begin officially on Monday, June 9th (however, there is a remote possibility that I may post the thread earlier...remote though)

Davabled; yes of course.

It is important to know that the MVL Draft works slightly differently than most, in that we only have two rounds of selection, the remaining players are placed randomly.

The reason for this is that we want teams, and players, to be able to get a good mix of experience and play styles, and also to be able to work alongside players that they may have not normally come into contact with.

The Draft should be done sometime later today at which point I will be placing the remaining players on the various teams. You will be then contacted by whomever your team captain is.

hi all, here's one newbie (me), i'd just like to say i've familiarized myself with some game rules, but not quite with drafts, groups, points etc. so whoever gets stuck with me in their group gimme a PM and i'll bore you with stupid questions :)

Thanks... I was in the middle of editing my post, and the edit got lost as well as the button...

So, I just wanted to point out that I'd like to do this on my secondary character a.k. a. Captain Oblivious, that I use for fooling around and testing things.

Looking forward for a chance to try this out.
