Do Blacks really hate all Whites?

Do Blacks really hate all Whites?

The more I see, the more I wonder.

After watching several "sermons" delivered at the Holy Trinity Church A couple delivered by Reverend Jeremiah Wright and the most recent by a Catholic priest named Michael Pfleger, all of them with a definite racist slant with an outpouring of hatred for the white race.

I could not help but notice the amount of enthusiasm the predominate black audience showed, leaping about, screaming amen as more hatred was spewed on the white race. I cannot help but wonder, is this how the black race really sees us? As devils that need to be put down like an animal in the dog pound? With attitudes like this can there ever be a true coming together of the races?

I can understand the anger over slavery, it was a despicable time in American history, but none of these people were slaves, none of their parents were slaves, the blacks have more opportunity for advancement than white folk have simply because they are black. Slavery ended more than 150 years ago, it might be time to get over it.

Hatred breeds more hatred, when will it end?

Isn't church for the fellowship and gathering of believers? On rare occasions. But it's the exception, not the rule, in my experience.

My ex-wife invited me to attend church several times whikle she was looking for a church to belong to. I agree with you ock the few churches I experenced were more about gossip than fellowship, and do as I {the Preacher} says not as he does!, in essence I agree with your point.

If a church is preaching heresy you shouldn't need 20 years to figure this out. Usually a few months will suffice. Then you have the decision to make. Do I stay because I like the people and enjoy the friendships or do I leave because I'm contributing to..in this case a "hate filled" atmosphere from the very top? This preacher just didn't start ranting and raving. This church has a racist history behind it, so it's not brand new. It's only coming to the forefront now because of Obama's participation in it.Hmmm...Can you remind me of what Wright said that was heresy? Are you sure it was 'hated-filled' 20 years ago?  I lived near the church for a while in Chicago and racism is not what it was known for.  What proof do you offer that the Sunday morning soundbyte heard around the world was a normal occurance for 20 years? While I believe Wright's opinions to be wrong, I find it difficult to link it to Obama.  I doubt very seriously that he would have the congregation he does if all he spoke on is hate.  Hopefully you agree or you really do believe that Blacks hate whites pretty uniformly.

I can appreciate you defending Hussien, but come on now, the Trinity United just did not suddenly turn into a racist church over night.

Don't you think that's part of the problem? If we follow that, blacks and whites will never go to church together. KFC, I assume you believe the Bible. Isn't church for the fellowship and gathering of believers?

What do you mean? It's not nor was ever about color. The bible is colorless. Blacks and whites who are serious about God should have no problem worshipping together. They must remember it's NOT about them. It's ALL about God. It's NOT about THEIR agenda. It's ALL about GOD'S agenda.

Yes, church is about fellowship and gathering of believers. Two reasons why Christ instituted the church.

1. To worship God corporately
2. To encourage and edify the body of believers (regardless of color.

On rare occasions. But it's the exception, not the rule, in my experience.

you just haven't found a real good bible believing church yet Ock. You must search until you find one.

Sure, but was it that way outwardly?  Was it that way for all of the last twenty years?

Your first post said nothing about worship or fellowship.  You said that a person should pick a church based on what they believe.  There is nothing Biblical about that.

The Bible is not colorless. You only need to read about the church at Corinth to see that.  Christ called us not to ignore culture, but to come together regardless of it.  To ignore culture is not truly loving others more than yourself.

I would have no idea, but after even two such "performances" would be enough for a man of G-d to say "see ya!" and look for another church.

Sure, but I think it's unfair (and easily untrue) to think that this was every Sunday or even the majority of Sundays for 20 years. In the Chicagoland area, Wright was known for his congregations community service. It has been said that the KKK does community service, but are they known for that?

I digress.  This issue is about Black and White.  I know by being Black that there is a way that Black people talk about white people around other Black people.  From what I have observed, it is no more eregious than some of the things said here about Black people.

The big difference is none of the skinhead pieces of shit or the New Nazis are in a position to be at the helm of the most powerful country on the planet!

Still never got an answer to what made Wrigth a heretic.  Wrong for sure, but a heretic?  How?

Mention you belong to it to your black interviewer and you'll still get the job. But a white person mentioning he's a KKK member to his white interviewer will not get the job. You can't put on your resume that you helped run the Klan's adopt a child program. Or maybe you can. I just don't feel like I could hate black people for no reason and be accepted anywhere outside of a racist group.

once again, people, please don't forget the difference between trinity united's disenfranchised, survival-based angry racism and the KKK's aggressively violent racism.

on a very important level, racism is racism. regardless of your skin color, racism = bad. in order to be racist, you need to be guilty of lazy, illogical thinking.

KKK racism = bad
TU racism = bad

but, as i wrote somewhere else in these blog parts, there is violence and there is violence. i am white person: i prefer my chances walking into trinity united during a full-throttle sunday sermon, to the chances of a black person walking into one of those KKK midnight vigils.

or would someone here prefer to take their chances as the black person when those bloody-white robes come out of the closet?

Well, not all whites are retarded racists like LW, and not all blacks are retarded racists like Malcom X (who, by the way, was finally shot because he changed his mind. A good man in the end.) But all people are either white or black [edit: or somewhere in between. :) oops.] and all people have loyalties with people who look like them. This applies to whites, blacks, browns, and yellows. It even applies to jew/whites, hutu/blacks, and korean/yellows. The point is that I am more likely to like a black man than a white man at first glance, but I can like a white man, too. And I don't dislike either just from a look. People are people. Everyone is different, and color is only one feature. I would much rather be friends with a good white man than a dickhead black man.

1. Unless you are an Aryan, there is no such thing as the The White Race. White people are a group of different pale skinned races who have designated themselves as white.

2. Jeremiah Wright was off the mark and so was Mark Pfleger (I am Black, and a Catholic). But at the same time when white people say ask about Black resentment I wonder why they think Black people shouldn't be angry about what America has been for us and done to us for three centuries. White people are always surprised by Black anger. Why? If you have a good response let me know. I am sincere about this and we ought to start a real dialogue.

3. You may have noticed I capitalized Black and not white. This not latent Black supremacy. When i capitalize it i mean Black Americans, or what some people like to call African (though me and most Blacks have alot of European blood) and that is a cultural group just like Irish, Poles, Italians and so forth, all white, and all capitalized.
