I have no trouble using WB 5 but this is sooo fustrating and I'm a real novice, please can someone offer some advice, I'm sick of unloading and reloading the wretched program and if I hadn't paid for it I think I'd just give up! The only thing I can think of is the problem started when I downloaded SP3 for XP, any suggestions?

DragunStaind if you could, go into WindowBlinds configuration and copy and paste the system info here.

I'm running XP Home and have SP3 and haven't had any problems.

your files don't match what I show for 6.0 (build 32 x86)

especially the one with today's date
could it be because of the update?
also i just clicked on screen.exe in the WB folder would that change the date?

DragunStaind version 6.1 has just been released, update and post your system info again.

...it was on a disk i received from them....

Who them?
It would work better if you uninstall this version and either install the trial version or purchase WindowBlinds.

I am having this same issue but my issue seems to be related to RDP sessions..
Seems that when I log into my remote Vista Ultimate system at home from my work XP SP3 PC
the theme does not get applied, if I manually try to open the WBConfig it telle me I must
reboot after installing this version..

I reboot but still no theme and no WB idon in task tray, if I go home
and log into the PC locally I get the same issue no theme, manually ope config
and it tells me to reboot, but this time when the PC reboots the theme comes
up and the icon is there..

I go to my bedroom (yes I have a laptop there) and log into my Vista Home Prem
computer and RDP into the machine in other room, I get no theme and we start the
loop all over..

It did NOT do this with all the 6.0X beta versions up till this one..

can any one shed some light on this...RDP is a must for me!

(when I get home, im at work now I will post all my details here cant get the
config to open in RDP now)

Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 5

Red_alert -

Your file dates do not match the 6.1 build 55 x86 version for XP.

You "got" a warez verson. It won't work, so I'd suggest uninstalling it and purchasing a legal version.

You should update to the current version (6.1), then re-post your system information.

Just a reminder - this is a user-to-user forum generously provided by Stardock, not SD's formal support vehicle. We get the bonus of SD staff like Neil dropping in fairly often, but we can't and shouldn't expect that. This is also a long holiday weekend.

I'd suggest opening a ticket at esupport.stardock.com. Include as much information as you can about the problem & how it occurred including the system information listed in WB's configuration dialog.
