Latest WB 6 will not load any themes and reverts to 'Windows Classic' Theme



WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.1 (build 55 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

I have no trouble using WB 5 but this is sooo fustrating and I'm a real novice, please can someone offer some advice, I'm sick of unloading and reloading the wretched program and if I hadn't paid for it I think I'd just give up! The only thing I can think of is the problem started when I downloaded SP3 for XP, any suggestions?

Did you have the trial version installed previously? Did you uninstall it & reboot prior to installing 6.1?

I did have the trial version installed, when my 30 days ran out I purchased the product and ran the program that was downloaded from the link in the email with out doing an uninstall, after that install was completed I did do a reboot (and several more reboots in the last several days). It worked for 4 days, then upon turning my system on this evening it loaded in the 'Windows classic' skin. I uninstalled and re-installed Windowblinds shortly before posting (with a reboot). Now I can only load skins that are made by Stardock, any user created skin i try results in the windows classic look.

I'd suggest you:

1. Uninstall WB again using Add/Remove Programs.
2. Reboot.
3. Download and install Impulse from impulsedriven.com.
4. Install WB again using Impulse; it will ask for your registration information at some point during the install.
5. Reboot.

If that doesn't get you squared away, I'd advise submitting a ticket at esupport.stardock.com.

try running: #187 on the left it that doesn't work, try the one on the right
