hide-and-go-seek

DA deja vu

Seems like I had this same problem when DA came out.

So I pull up my confirmation email for my ToA purchase. It says that I should go to
http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral setup.exe and that I should "Install SDC and use serial above."

So I go there and install the updated SDC. Says to restart SDC. Do that. That takes me to the SDC News page. LOTS of destination choices -- _none_ of which seem to go where I need to go.

Where do you find the button that says "Download" for ToA?

What I can't understand is _why_ can't this process be simplified? They've already got the entire list of pre-order email addresses. Send out a broadcast email cover that reads: "Your game is now available for download. Click _here_ to go to the Download page. Use this product serial number:_____________." The recipient clicks, and, ouila! he's where he needs to be. No hide-and-go-seek. No muss; no fuss.

Dang! I cannot understand why the whole post won't print! The rest goes:

Click games on the left, expand GC2, click TA and install.

Looks like part of your post got turned black on you. You can see the rest if you highlight the empty space.

Missed it the first (and second, and third) times through. What threw me off was the LONG list of free demos on the same page. And is that what they call an "intuitive interface"? Makes me wonder how the single men figure it out (intuition being a female forte supposedly).

Still, they _could_ massively simplify the process for pre-order customers. Just one teenie, tiny email saying "Click here...."

Anyway, thank you for the assist.

Seems like they are seperated into to lists clearly marked above the list. One says "Purchased software" and the other says "Demos". Seems clear to me.

Doesn't SDC pop up when you open it and tell you about updates that are available?
