Ok guys, here you go, a thread devoted entirely to the release of my own ship models and the discussion of SoA2, specifically topics which have been pseudo-banned (i.e.Borg). Feel free to download my ship(s) and test them, then post criticisms and suggestions (constructive please) so I can improve my models and make them better. This thread in no way is designed to detract from SoA2, it's just another place we can talk.

Don't forget - fighters and bombers launch from cap ships. In the series, the ships you have been mentioning were independent. I suggested shuttles and runabouts because they both launch and dock in shuttle bays of the various vessels being considered for cap ships.

Just trying to keep it canon :)

Runabouts are ok, but shuttles suck, would rather see something else as fighters, the val would be a much better choice IMO, but if you NEED to do a shuttle please do the voyager ones (type 9 I believe)or the delta flyer.

I Believe that the valkyrie had limited warp capability and had little to no long term trip capabilities.

The peregrine is a stand alone bomber but they were mentioned as tactical fighter wings in the series.

If it came done to a shuttle craft i would agree with fearlessdefiance, on that you should consider the delta flyer.

Also has anyone considered re-modeling the trade and mining ships?

I came across the Emdor class ship and its clssified as a tanker. Hope that helps.

Thinking back on the fighter and bombers discussion, What is EzraeilBeatus going to designate as the "carrier" for the federation?

I really like how your mod is taking shape and only wished that a had skills of some sort to contribute to your mod!

For the trade ships i found the Deneva class which was used for trade and cargo shipments.

Sorry, the deneva class is not canon as i had previously thought.

Will have to see if there is anoth ship to fulfill the tradeship responsibilities. (thats if your considering changing the trade and minign ships as well!)

Hope its alright if i talk bout 'possible' trade and mining ships.

If you go here and scroll down to the Invincible class I belive that would be a good carrier, or maybe the Leviathan class Also maybe the raven as a trade ship? http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=168652 Just some suggestions anyway, would love to see alot of non-cannon ships made. I'm sure the creator would be more then willing to share as well.

Hmm, that's a good question my friend. I'm done with finals, am back home, and have 2.2 meshes complete, but the textures for the Galaxy, Nebula, and Sovereign are HELLA complex. Each of them has like ten billion windows and everybody knows those ships, so if I mess them up it'll be pretty obvious. Therefore, it might be a while before I'm able to get them all out. As the nebula and galaxy meshes are done, and share very similar textures, I'll try and make headway with them, and maybe get them to you by the end of the week. maybe. no promises. Since those are also the models I am using for my texturing tutorial, work is slowed slightly...
So, hopefully progress in the near future :D !

Will the instability issues be worked out for the technology-impaired among us? I'll be honest, I had a hard enough time just installing this mods let alone changing things within them. :)

Seriously though, good job with what you've done wit 7deadly sins. I used to play empire at war for the longest time and encountered only few good mods from that game.

Good to see that your closing in on the finish line EzraeilBeatus. Can't wait for your next release!

Hey Ez,

Is the Sovereign your making the standard Sovie, or the Nemesis refit? I hope its the Nemesis refit cause its got more weapons and looks a lil' cooler...

Cant wait for your next release by the way & I got alot of new ideas, so I will try and implement them after your next release & then submit the changes back to you....
