I don't understand the problem... why would you buy it at a store?

Buy it directly from stardock... firstly they make a LOT more money from a direct purchase.

Secondly, you don't need the CD either way, once your key is linked you can download it as much as you want, forever.

Thirdly, if you want the collector's edition stuff/physical CD/box/manual/etc, just pay for shipping and they will send it to you.

Does 100% of the money go to SD and IC if I buy from here instead of from stores?

This is GREAT. Sins is an incredible game; I couldn't find it at 3 different stores because it was sold out, although I eventually purchased it.

Dunno i think the service is called "totallygames" or something like that ?

Dunno if that s Stardock or an intermediate. But it's a save guess that SD/IC will get "more" from it than from classic retail.

you probably mean TotalGaming, and its part of the Stardock Network, so not really an intermediate. :)

I humbly suggest that a large part of that success is Stardock's (well deserved) excellent reputation, rather than anything specific about the game itself. Another large part is that it's a slow season for PC games, no offense, and that the advertising and available info about Sins (deliberately or not) paints it as all things to all strategy gamers. I bought it, suffice it to say, expecting something more strategic and less like a traditional RTS.

Call Of Duty 4 is still in top 3... Holy crap that is pretty impressive in itself. How long has that been out?

Sins is almost always sold out around here, got mine by luck (and lots of phone calls daily to see if its in stock) :P

very impressive sales.

I "aquired" a copy of sins in a manner I will not disclose, and was so impressed I bought it online and just tagged in my serial. I'm on satellite internet, so no online play for me, just wanted to support Stardock and get the updates (fix the mentally challanged AI!). Just the fact I didn't have to go to WalTargetBestDeoptMax made it worth while.

Just spent 9 hours winning a 4 player FFA medium random map, which against the computer turns into 3 vs 1 real quick. Time to move to large.
