So I'm clear, this week it's being manufactured and shipped so that stores can have it AVAILABLE on the 4th?

(I understand that in store availability can vary due to when the get their shipments etc.)

Yep. February 4th is the release date. You'll be able to download it then, and stores/Stardock should be getting around to shipping them as well ;)

Ok since the game has gone gold why ppl who preodred the game (DL+DVD)through stardock central can't have the copy yet ????


Retailers would be rather unhappy if we told them they had to wait until the 4th to release and we broke that date ourselves.

Wow, I cant believe you cant find a distributer in places like Hungary, Estonia or Poland. The gaming industry is experiencing rapid growth in those places. The horror of it all!

Gaming industry has gone way too Hollywood way - too much money - too much drugs - and sadly too much bullshit and cheap disposable stuff...

Back to passionate "bedroom" programing and alternative gaming is all i can say!

After spending the better part of last year patiently waiting, I can wait just a bit longer, no matter how badly I want this game. The beta tests did, however, help out quite a bit, as I not only got to play Sins, but comment on the progress. I applaud the developers for putting the game out to those who preordered and listening to their customers' suggestions to improve the game. I really look forward to playing!

Before I go, however, a few questions:
1. Some time ago, there had been mention of a future fansite kit (not sure if the developers or someone else on the forum mentioned this), so I was wondering if one was currently in the works, hopefully with lots of screenshots, art, etc.

2. Now that Sins is being released, I started searching for different merchandise, namely a strategy guide, as I usually collect these for the games that I really enjoy. I currently have found nothing mentioned other than the game itself. Will there be any posters, a strategy guide, etc. at all?

Questions aside, I look foward to a great game! Soon my dream of galactic domination will be realized! Military operations shall commence on the 4th!

There's a couple of posters up in the Downloads section and if you bought the game direct from Stardock you'll be getting the collector's edition goodies in one form or another.  We have no plans on making a strategy guide, but I know that some of the other beta testers are planning to do so. ;)
