If it isn't too much hassle, they could perhaps allow people who chose download only to switch to disc, and charge the extra shipping fee (as I believe that's the only difference in price), since there were no news of a CE before

thats what i get for being blind. atleast the fighters are cautiosly distanced for safety reason. looks eye teasing how the formations really brings back old rts phenomenon. it explains all on its own. can you guy's see shadow effects on reflected image?

note: sorry about the double post, i had two windows opened looking at the retail box and another windo on different subject reply window. thus sending it to the wrong subject

So... what does the collector's edition get?
I'd just like to add my voice to the vast collective thanking SD/IC for my enormously cool Collector's Edition. It's a fantastic way to reward those who put their money where their mouth is and bought the game when they had little idea of the coolness coming their way.

Thanks all, and thanks for honouring our efforts!

i thought the advent where open minded people, not dumb

If "open minded" is taken literally, then yes they would be dumb since their heads would be quite hollow

Personally as far as the cover goes, I like the black and red style that currently dominates the site and artwork; don't enjoy the blue addition as much. I think that simply the Kol's silhouette (the current logo for sins, possibly with more emphasis on SINS than on 'of a solar empire') in front of the red volcanic planet would be a perfect cover. It's obviously space-related, and will visually separate the box from other, lower quality, space-themed games. It's simplicity will hopefully be intriguing, as opposed to a spatially confusing blob of ships as is currently.

Also, I thought the phrase "Times of war are upon us" was powerful in the trailer. Perhaps it would make a good box caption as well?

Nice... I like the look of the cover. Love the use of the blue and red. Its nice and simple.

But a question about the preorder CE thingy. It says on my order "Sins of a Solar Empire (CD Preorder)" - Im assuming that this is the CD Media option people are talking about and not the download?

Dont want to email StarDock sales and look like a fruit basket if Ive already ordered the CD.

You're correct Those who got the download will have (Digital Download) instead.

I (actually) asked sales and "they" said for us early adopters, we can get the CE for the cost of shipping. Of course, you know about "them".

treat your fanbase right, and they shall treat you like trash.

treat them improperly, and your buisness is gone anyhow.
