LordKosc presents... Lost EDEN! Beta 3 , 2vs2 map!

2v2 game, the race for eden begins....

My first 2v2 map for Beta 3, more will come as time permits and suggestions come in... Give me feedback! <3

FYI all players start with 4000 credits, 2000 metal, and 1500 crystal, this has made the usually slow start of the game SUPER fast... Eden is at the other end of this system, it a fully upgraded Terran Home Planet, who ever claims it first will probably win the game? Maybe... Maybe not...

This photo is of the map layout, the map has 2-3 tweaks (plant position, phase lane layout) to it since I took the picture, it is around 95% accurate!

Install instructions:
Download the map (it's called Lost Eden.galaxy) and put it in the galaxy folder in your sins of a solar empire folder (C:\Games\Stardock\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy).

****** REMEMBER all players must have this map installed to be able to play it! ************

Have fun, let me know what you'd be interested in for my next map... I'll keep them 1vs1 or 2vs2 for now... They take awhile to make!

yeah, completely not worth the effort.

It would be nice to be able to hard code certain plants with X amount of loyalty once colonized...

Also Loyalty would be more realistic if it was distance based and not jump based...

true. come to think I would also prefer that propoganda also be distance based, its simply not fun when its on a line.

Actually, from a logical sense, loyalty would be based on how many jumps away the planet is.

Consider this.

Loyalty is increased by easy access to the capital world. Given that in the Sins universe the only access two worlds have with each other is there phase lanes. Also remember that the threat of force from the central government would be an important aspect of loyalty. Exercising that threat of force is more difficult the more jumps away from the homeworld a planet is (in theory). In this way, the actual distance in terms of AUs is insignificant given that jumps are the only way for planets to access each other (and thus the only paths for fleets which enforce loyalty in theory). Therefore, from a logic stand point one planet could be one AU away from the homeworld but 10 phase jumps while another would be 10 AU away but only separated by the homeworld by one phase jump. In this case the forces of the homeworld can far more easiely the planet 10 AUs away than the planet one AU away, meaning the homeworld would have an easier time enforcing loyalty on the 10 AU away world.

On the other hand, culture (if spread soley from broadcast arrays) would be more based on the physical distance between planets. This is because the signal would take less time and would be stronger for closer planets than further away ones. This is assuming that the radio waves (or whatever waves) do not use phase lanes. If they use phase lanes then my first argument applies to culture (only instead of fleets enforcing culture, think communications enhancing culture).

Edit: In addition for those of you not very knowledgable about astronomy an AU is an Astronomical Unit. One Astronomical Unit equal about 90 million miles, or the average distance between the Earth and the Sun).
