Bush Blowing More Smoke About Iraq

Bush Blowing More Smoke About Iraq

Bush is telling everyone the Surge is Working when the facts say the opposite. Yes in Al Anbar Province the violence is much better but in the north and south the violence is much worse. Overall the death toll is UP and there is no progress on the political front. The Police Force is a problem and the Iraqi Military can not function on their own. For Bush to declare the surge is working to reduce the violence in Iraq is simply not true and the death toll and lack of political progress shows he is lying again!

the dems wanted to raise taxes before the Iraq war and the GOP spending

They want to Balance the budget that Bush and the GOP took from balanced in 2000 to a $400 Billion annual deficit and another $4 Trillion on the National Debt. You can not blame the democrats for that!

It has NOTHING to do with better intelligence or better information. It has EVERYTHING to do with Bush Cherry Picking TRUE Facts that helps him spin his point and ignoring ALL other facts that do not support what he wants. No one is saying that Al Anbar is not more secure as Bush indicated. However the situation in the north and in the Basra Area are also facts. The overall death toll is UP. The lack of political progress has been established by our government. Studies by OUR people have concluded that the Iraqi Police Force is a major problem and that the Iraqi Military can not stand on its own after almost 5 years. The GAO has established the reconstruction operation is a failure and after 5 years basic services in Iraq are BE LOW the levels under Saddam. Reduced violence in one section of Iraq does not make all the other things go away. No Bush does not have better information he just ignores most of the facts because they show his policies have failed.

Hey clown....why don't you "try" to sell this idea to General Petraeus, Katie Couric, Senator Hillary Clinton (D -NY), Rep. Brian Baird (D –Wash.), Rep. Jerry McNerney (D - Calif.), Rep. Tim Mahoney (D – Fla.) who ALL say you're full of B*LLSH*T! These 5 and a HOST of Democratic others! And BTW, the first two and the last 3 have actually BEEN to Iraq. Have you? I thought not! So do some reading, why don't you "before" you run you lips INCORRECTLY and show the "world" what a fool you are! Wrong again, huh?

Hey you flaming idiot-- Look at the facts:

The GAO said the Surge is not working.

The death rate is up from last year and it is higher in July and August then at any time since we invaded Iraq.

The report on the Police Force and the status of the Iraqi Army from Gen Jones says that are not capable of acting independently and it will take years to achieve that.

Petraeus will tell Congress there is some Military Progress but other areas are worse and overall the Surge has not accomplished what was expected.

Corker will tell Congress there is very little political progress and the prospect for the Iraqi Government to be able to govern Iraq is not good.

HOW THE HELL IS THAT PROGERSS?????

You Just wait till Bush wins in 2008 people like you will bot be allowed to print falsehoods anymore. He will enact a law banning anything that does not tell the truth. When he wins again for his fourth term in 2012 he is declaring himself ruler of the world and forcing the U.N. to pay him rent and dues. When he wins in 2016 he will decided that thwe middle east is not worth saving, give Florida to the Jews and nuke the rest of the countries back to the stone-Age. Then in 2016 his name will be the only name on the ballot, he will make all foreigners register with the foreigner watchdog committee and totally ban the Democratic party.

Hmmm, here's a pondering thought.

The democratic majority lead Senate voted UNANIMOUSLY in favor of David Petraeus to be the Commander of our forces in Iraq (81-0) back in January.

WWW Link

Now all of a sudden (since the Labor Day break) the Democrats are shouting that Petraeus is in bed with Bush. Is it because all the blowhard lefties want to slander him before he even gives his report? You Col, should be outraged at the disgracing of this UNANIMOUSLY elected Commander.

Schumer, Durbin, and all the other bandwagon Cracker Jack Senators who voted for this man to be the Commanding officer are now smearing him. WHY????

So I ponder some more...

Hmm, isn't it ironic that the one's that are smearing him are the same one's who said Iraq is a failure?

Answer: YES!

So some how these Dems get a pass (especially by Col here) because they call Petraeus a liar before he can even give his report.

It sounds like a bunch of third graders playing politic.

You can't call me names because I called you one first. NANANANANA!

Pulease!

Col,

“Are you at ALL upset with how Petraeus was treated at his report today?”

NO! He is twisting the facts to make it look like there is progress. I am very proud of the job our military have and are doing in Iraq. Petraeus is moving the numbers around in different categories to make it look as if the Surge is solving the overall problem in Iraq. Nothing could be further from the truth. He says we will draw down 30,000 by the summer of 2008. That is NOT a policy change it is the reality that we CAN NOT maintain the 30,000 troops that he is recommending be removed. He has no choice are the Joint Chiefs have told Bush that two weeks ago. They told Bush the troop strength should be cut to 80,000 not the 130,000 Petraeus is suggesting!

The overall death rates have NOT dropped. July was the second highest ever and the rate on 2007 is DOUBLE the rate in 2006. The general is excluding certain categories of deaths to make the situation look better. He also ignored the increased violence in the south where the British have removed their troops and the facts is that the base cause for the violence is NO better today then last year or 2 years ago. Crocker can not provide an estimate as to when the Iraqi Government will be able to function and all he talked about was a Federalism which is the opposite from the Unity Government that Bush has been supporting with Maliki.

Last night CNN had an Iraqi Reporter on that said the people do not TRUST either the police or the Iraqi military? These are the two institutions we are training to safeguard the people and the PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST them. In the end when we leave, Iraq will see an increase in the internal fighting and the influence of Iran will increase. The shame is that we are talking about this issue at all. Had Bush listened to the advice from people that knew a lot more then he did about that part of the world, we would NOT have invaded Iraq and we would not be in this NO WIN situation in September 2007.

This report is all Political to help Bush continue a FAILED policy in Iraq!
