Bush Blowing More Smoke About Iraq

Bush is telling everyone the Surge is Working when the facts say the opposite. Yes in Al Anbar Province the violence is much better but in the north and south the violence is much worse. Overall the death toll is UP and there is no progress on the political front. The Police Force is a problem and the Iraqi Military can not function on their own. For Bush to declare the surge is working to reduce the violence in Iraq is simply not true and the death toll and lack of political progress shows he is lying again!

You know, maybe... just maybe GWB has access to better intel than you have. But doesn't matter... as long as it's good news from Iraq, you can't handle the truth! You won't be satisfied till every American troop is dead... because that would vindicate the position you've taken for the last five years.

It has NOTHING to do with better intelligence or better information. It has EVERYTHING to do with Bush Cherry Picking TRUE Facts that helps him spin his point and ignoring ALL other facts that do not support what he wants. No one is saying that Al Anbar is not more secure as Bush indicated. However the situation in the north and in the Basra Area are also facts. The overall death toll is UP. The lack of political progress has been established by our government. Studies by OUR people have concluded that the Iraqi Police Force is a major problem and that the Iraqi Military can not stand on its own after almost 5 years. The GAO has established the reconstruction operation is a failure and after 5 years basic services in Iraq are BE LOW the levels under Saddam. Reduced violence in one section of Iraq does not make all the other things go away. No Bush does not have better information he just ignores most of the facts because they show his policies have failed.

Yes I have been saying that I believed many of the Bush policies would not achieve the desired results since about 2003. Guess what? I WAS CORRECT!

No insult intended SingrDave but you missed the most important part of that piece you quoted. Col actually proved my point about him contradicting himself, this time he did it withing the first 2 sentences of his article. First he says the facts say the opposite, then he admits it has been working. LOL, what a guy.

The reality tells me that. Bush sees everything as he wants them to be not as they are on the ground.

The reduced violence in Al Anbar is more then offset by the increased fighting in BOTH the North and the South. The increased death toll shows the Surge is NOT making Iraq more stable.

To the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game":
So let's root, root, root for jihadists... if they don't win, it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes you're out for the old ball game!

When was the last time you were "on the ground" in Iraq?

I hear more balanced reporting from the North Korean news service.

Singrdave: " just maybe GWB has intel that that you don't have."

Sure, he and Rumsfeld had plenty of intel for what it's worth. I'm sure that Bush and Rumsfeld had so much intel that they had no post-invasion plan.Let's face it Bush has got skewed people on his team--so skewed they couldn't run a small town!

Bush had the very best advice from our most experienced people who knew Iraq and that region. That advice said DO NOT INVADE IRAQ. You will get stuck in a Quagmire. You will destabilize Iraq and the region. Bush IGNORED that advice and guess what-- That advice was correct. Bush was given the best Military Advice as to what was required to invade Iraq and control the country after Saddam fell- He Ignored it and sent less then 1/3 the troops that were required to do the job and today we have a disaster and more then 3,700 dead troops and 27,000 injured because Bush did not listen to our military leaders.

Bush does what he wants and disregards any advice or data that does not support what he wants. He never admits he was wrong and just keeps going in a direction that has failed in the past. He did that in Iraq, with Trade, Social Security, Immigration, the deficit etc. He is a looser and January 20, 2009 can not come soon enough!!!!!!!

Not even close. When I am wrong I admit it and move on. NOT BUSH! When I was working and I made mistakes I looked at alternatives to accomplish the task at hand. Bush has no idea of that concept and he is the leader of our country. HOW SAD!!! We will all pay in the future for a President the likes of GWB!

Yeah right.  You have been proven wrong here so many times I have lost count, and you don't admit you are wrong, you just start another anti-Bush article.  LOL.

I looked at alternatives to accomplish the task at hand. Bush has no idea of that concept and he is the leader of our country. HOW SAD!!!

And your "alternatives" are all left-wing talking points, most of which are completely ridiculous and void of reality.

We will all pay in the future for a President the likes of GWB!

Stop speaking for "all" of us.  Once again you have to be so dramatic about something.

See the last 2 words? Just add .org at then end and he just made an ad for them. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

I'm going to stop feeding these useless posts.  If I want lies, "gloom and doom" predictions, and general encouragement of failure, I will just read press releases from the DNC.  It's not like they are that much different.

This nothing to do with speaking for "All of us"

The fact is that we will pay for his fiscal policy. For what he has done to Medicare. We will pay for his not moving us toward less dependence on oil and on the fact he has continued to allow illegal’s to flow into our country. His Iraq war will harm our country for decades to come and the worst may still be in the future. These are actions by Bush that will impact all Americans in a very negative way. The fact you do not want to admit the negative impact of the Bush policies will not alter their harm to all of us including you.

Your definition of "harm" is different than everyone else's. You think the democrats socialist agenda is something to look forward to, so your opinion is useless as usual.

Since you think illegals flowing into this country is so harmful, what are you going to say when the democrats allow them in and make them the next welfare class?  Will you criticize them on a daily basis, or give them the usual pass?

You are completely one-sided and it shows everyday.  You deal with the most negatives scenarios, and are completely pessimistic about everything as long as you can complain about Bush.  The fact is everyone is not "harmed", everyone is not as bad off as you make it.  You sir, are a propagandist and political hack!

No it is the same. Higher taxes because of his tax and spend policies. Higher gas prices because he did NOTHING about our dependence on foreign oil. The ongoing cost of the Iraq war. Adding to the commitments on Medicare without paying for those NEW Entitlements. The continuing impact due to his failed trade policy and the loss of American Jobs. The millions of added illegal’s that came into our country because he did not enforce our laws. All these and more will cause all of us harm no matter how you define harm!

LOL.  So you are going to blame Bush when the democrats raise taxes?  You are hilarious.

If you think all of these things are harmful, too bad you don't talk about democrats except being apologists for them.  What do you think democrats are going to do about illegals gene?

during the 80s and 90s when the demos were in charge of the congress they wanted gas prices to be 5 dollars a gallon. the difference they wanted it all to be taxes to spend however they wanted to.

The Dems will get the blame for increasing taxes to pay for the Bush and GOP spending and the Iraq war.

So do some reading, why don't you "before" you run you lips INCORRECTLY and show the "world" what a fool you are! Wrong again, huh?
