When I play Galatic Civilization II I watch "Babylon 5" or "Firefly."

When I play World at War I put in an appropriate movie like "Band of Brothers" or "A Bridge too Far" or "Das Boot."

When I play World of Warcraft I usually have Monty Python's "Holy Grail" going in the background.

Does anyone else try to kinda set the mood like that?

I'm too busy thinking up story lines to go with all the things I'm doing in the game to be distracted by music or television; cuz if I was watching tv it would be Stargate sg1 or Atlantis and I prolly wouldn't be getting any gaming done at all

I do have a life and a girl i work from home. And we both play gc2 & i make my own time. i only play 3 days a week on the pc. SO **** YOU

For me, everytime I make a major planetary invasion, I put on the music from Independece Day, particularly the song playing when the invasion ships arrive. It's ominous and very badass. Also, most of the music from the original Star Wars saga sounds good. And I agree, Winamp works best. WMP bogs my machine.

Avenue Q is an adult-themed musical spoofing Seaseme Street and features the song My Girlfriend, Who Lives in Canada. the turn in conversation made me think of it.

I always look forward to a good challenge, but not with those who must resort to the use profanity to express themselves. Besides, my original comment was aimed at the originator of this tread since he posed the question; "Do any of you do this? Or am I insane?"

To which I answered, "your insane". It was after all a multiple choice question.

But Anubis200 got bent out of shape for some reason. Maybe he likes to bully people?

I think it is more to do with a personal attack than profanity - well for me anyway. I do not particularly find profanity offensive in itself.

As far as personal attacks are concearned, a good general rule to follow is this -

'insult a persons comment if you must but never insult a person directly'
