NIE Clearly Shows al-Qaeda Threat Grows!

NIE Clearly Shows al-Qaeda Threat Grows!

The release of the NIE documents that al-Qaeda and similar groups have expanded their operations and ability to carry our attacks against the U.S. It also clearly demonstrates that simply ending al-Qaeda operations in Iraq will not change the level of danger from futurte attacks on the U.S.

Below are changes we have made to help prevent another attack on the U.S.:

Increased cooperation and surveillance by domestic agencies like the FBI, NSA, and CIA.

We have substantially improved data sharing with both our own agencies and with law enforcement and intelligence agencies thought the world.

We have solicited the help of banks, communications companies and alike to track potential terrorists.

Areas where we have not done what is needed or that our actions have increased the threat of future attacks:

Failed to safeguard our borders and ports.

Failed to provide the needed funding for first responders.

Failed to destroy the al-Qaeda operations especially in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Diverted our resources to Iraq that has enabled al-Qaeda et al to have yet another base of operation in Iraq.

Provided a recruiting tool to radical Islam by invading and occupying Iraq.

cant win by the rules. so it is now time to change the rules.

BS all you want- The Bottom line is what the GOP is doing will prevent the funding of American Troops. Without a vote Congress can not appropriate the funds for the military after Sept 30, 2007! The GOP will have to choose between their rules and the money the troops need. Let's see what is more important!

EVERY news agency is saying the very same thing. You are full of BS. All you can ever say is if its is a liberal newspaper or TV network by your definition they misrepresent the truth. It is Bush and his spin doctors that twist the truth. The NIE clearly shows Bush has failed to reduce the threat from al-Qaeda. The Sec of Homeland Security is running around warning of another attack on the U.S. this summer. How is that possible if we have destroyed al-Qaeda?

So NOW you're saying that the newspapers know more about what's going on than our own Intel? What a MORON. The papers do NOT know everything.

they can have a vote within the rules.

what is this the 3rd or 4th time that the democrats have tried to change the rules.

lets see.

1 congress tried to take over the military.

2 congress tried to make it where a tax increase was automatic ie no vote.

3 can't get the proper number of votes, so change the rules so that we can.

4 congress tried to take over the military again.

the democrats for six years blocked everything in the senate.

held 200 judges hostage, ie would only allow votes on letting them serve if the president or the republicans in the senate would give up something. and now they and you are crying because the shoe is on the other foot. that's right i know why nothing was done from 2004 to 2006.

"So NOW you're saying that the newspapers know more about what's going on than our own Intel?"
They have reported the Intel. You just do like what the Intel says!

The other BS is that Democrats want to change the rules in the Senate. That is also BS. , The Senate can pass a bill with a single vote IF THE SENATORS ALLOW IT TO COME TO A VOTE! What the GOP is scared of is that they know the majority of the Senate support ending the Iraq War. So they use the 60 votes required to cut off debate and VOTE. If the GOP does not allow the funding bills to be voted on in the Senate, it is the GOP that will be denying our military the funding the need! If Bush vetoes funding bills passed by Congress it will be Bush who denies the funding to our military.

LOL.  Look how you spin this.  Propaganda is all this is.

. Look how you spin this. Propaganda is all this is.

This is NOT SPIN. It is the reality of the situation. There is NO requirement to have 60 votes in the Senate to pass any bill. If the GOP falls back on this option, they will stop the funding of our troops!

It's your usual spin.  Democrats are the ones who want to stop funding the troops.  That is reality.

“It's your usual spin. Democrats are the ones who want to stop funding the troops. That is reality.”

No the Democrats want to remove our troops from Iraq as do the vast majority of Americans. They will pass the support for the troops just not for the continuation of the Bush war in Iraq!

vast majority of Americans

you know what idiot the term vast means at least more than 75%.

the most they could get to agree on anything in the last poll was 71%. and that was for a positive withdrawal from iraq. ie iraq can stand on its own. or the violence has been stopped that kind of thing.

only 61% wanted to cut and run like you do.

and 61% is far from being a vast anything.

“You know what idiot the term vast means at least more than 75%.”

Just where did you get that from? 70% of Americans want us OUT of Iraq. In a Democracy that means we should be OUT of Iraq. We are NOT in danger from the Sunni and Shea in Iraq. Let’s attack the REAL danger which per our Intelligence is al-Qaeda who is principally in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

reread my statement. this time read it and understand it. if you can't get your 5 year old grandchild to explain it to you.

as for the 75% my understand of the word vast means almost everybody. 75% is three fourths of anybody. if you don't understand that get your 10 year old grandkid to explain that one to you .

The Dictionary says “Very Great in number" NOT EVERYBODY 70 or 71 % is vast and far more then needed in a Democracy!

You are so full of BS. It is not worth dealing with an idiot like you!
