Oh, that's the character portrait, it's not going away - I'm talking about the race logo here, the one that floats over your planets on the galactic map and shows up in your diplomacy window. I can't fire up the game at work even when I'm bored, so I tend to work on peripheral stuff and forum banners instead...

Marshall, that looks awesome. What prog do you use to do this stuff with and is it easy to use. I really want to make a evil fembot yor looking character.

I think it could do with some black, something to make th skull stand out a bit, but then again the black might not be good as it will have a black background anyway once it is in use.

@PlayJeff Getting a bit confused with who to taunt mate? Remember it's us evil ones vs the rest of the world.....Though i am loving the taunting and team banter going on in the league. It's what i thought was needed between empires myself. Either way the league is off to a good start (spoken fast and under breath) Go the Blade Runners! (cough cough, clears throat). The skull logo isn't for my Metaverse character, it's for use as a logo in the game. The logos that come with the game have transparent backgrounds, too, because you get a big ugly black box around your planets if you fill in the whole thing.

I made that logo in Photoshop, but Paintshop Pro is just as good for this kind of stuff and much cheaper. I just took the original DL Altarian logo, selected the blue parts, made a new layer of them, and inverted their color to that nice shade of orange/red. Then I selected the outline of the pyramid that's under the red parts, filled it in with a blue gradient, and moved that under the red parts. Then I took the skull from an older logo I had worked up, dropped that on top, put some Altarian markings on it for effect, and gave all three layers an outer glow of 4px.

I get really, really bored at work sometimes...

I have photoshop and imageready too, (is paintshop good?) I need to learn how to use them... There are just... SO MANY BUTTONS! It makes me the crazy!

I've been posting some minor strat secrets in the new MV League private Core underground bat cave password protected place. I'd be much more comfortable posting strategies and secrets in a private Empire site.

[shameless plug] Oh, if only someone with hosting abilities would join us and host such a forum. Someone like Macmatt, for instance. [/shameless plug]   

The Galactic Core hosts sites for several other empires. Secret ones, even. I bet Mumble would help us get one set up, or could at least point us to the right person for the job.

Darth, there are bazilions of tutorials out there for Photoshop. Just Google something like "photoshop tutorial" plus whatever you want to create. Generic type stuff like "buttons" will give plenty of tutorials for new users. Paintshop is just about as good for creating Web illustrations - and it's much cheaper, too!

I don't really have the attentions span for one of those tutorils  . A special ToE site would be awesome, we should also see about setting up a post in the core for our empire too, they don't even have one! It disgusts me!

Our own forum at the Core? If everyone is wanting this i'll pm Damoose and see if he can set it up. No point though if it is only going to be a few of us there. Is there others in the TOE that use the core or would if we were set up over there?

I can take it or leave it, actually. It was just an evil attempt to lure another victim into our fold. To be honest, I'd prefer an independent site, but the Core would do if that's what others want. Call my vote a solid neutral.

A site a the core. I think a few of us may use it. I myself am in the core under the hitchikers. One for us well I will go with Motti on that one.

I guess i am a neutral on this too...Does Macmatt's site have forums? i have never been there actually.

Thx you neilo i have log on as Lord Anubis.ID01 thats my evil character from now on. Now it time to make my way up the ranks. But before i do that i need to win my 12 year war with the Acreans. Then i will start a new game.

We had agreed very early on that to be granted Senatorship one must post 10 games with the empire. Now that is not concrete, i am not even bothered if some people choose to post very few scores, i'd just as soon have a healthy, vibrant thread that is not collecting dust. A thread that is alive is as important to me as the game....

hello i have made a character for my brother & log him on to the empire. Is it ok to have two characters in the same Empire pls say it's ok. he is more evil than i am. LOL  his character name is ( Hallowed Are The Ori ). And mottikhan thx you for the welcome.  

I've been meaning to talk about this one, so this is a good opportunity. My Motti Khan and Evil Twin characters are senators, but only one needs to be. I'd like to give one of those spots up (either one) and nominate Darth_Silhouette to take the spot. He's done as much or more to promote the evirulness as anyone has. What ya say, emp?

Yes, you can. My "Evil Twin" character joined very early in the empire, but I later brought my "Motti Khan" character over. Some have a regular character and a League character here too.

I like to play with my mods on Like star trek v3 or v4. So if i get a red flag that is still ok for me to submit scores.
