Basically, I believe that most of the discussion falls into the category of good natured taunting but care needs to be taken that everyone sees it that way.

It's fine to adopt an "evil" persona but it's a very fine line to keep the distinction between the persona and the person. In the end it's only the person's intent that separates the two and as we all know that can be very difficult to discern in a text only medium.

I believe that even though the empire may be "evil" that the members are basically good, if I didn't then I wouldn't be a member as well. I'm not saying that the ToE needs to be the empire of "sharing and hand holding" but I do believe that ToE members are not intrinsically hateful.

i think sethpenguin deserves a special aside. seth, i don't want you to feel unwelcome here. i think we got a little carried away because you're a good-natured youth, and you've walked blindly into more than a few jokes. you've been the butt of them, and i'm sorry if that's hurt your feelings.

this is a group of adults, and you might resent this statement, but you (and freeman, for that matter) are still very much young people. sometimes your own personal sense of humor isn't quite in line with the rest of us in this empire, and while i can't speak for everyone else in the ToE, i'll try not to hold it against you in the future.

however, i would like to ask you (and freeman) to keep issues that don't relate to the ToE empire out of our forum thread. if you want to hurl some friendly and PC taunts our way, by all means feel free, but i think we'd all feel better if other subjects are kept out of our thread.

also, if you were sincere about the thigns you mentioned last night, i would encourage you to speak to your school councilor about it. being taunted by your peers is a common part of growing up in our society, but the problems at home you alluded to might be better discussed with someone professionally trained to deal with them. that's what your school councelors are paid to do.
