I have no idea why I like playing gig maps, but I do. I guess it's good that I have alot of patience (well...at least for some things). Either that or I just like torturing myself. I'm kinda looking forward to playing ToA just so I can try an even larger map. Oh yeah, baby....pull my hair and call me Spanky!!!!!!!!

I just banged off 50 or so thousand in like 20 minutes using tiny galaxies. It is snowing so I will get more in

Good going guys.  :CONGRAT: I was hoping to finish the two giga games that I have been playing this weekend, but as it turned out I didn't even finish one. I was working nights last week (monitoring our cell site system on my laptop and playing video games on my PC) and figured that it would be the perfect time to finish these games, but I only got to play maybe 3 nights outta the whole week (thanks to some busy nights with outages and me spending a few nights playing Oblivion on my XBox360). Oh well, maybe this weekend I can sit down and finish these maps finally and at least put a few points on the board.  ;p 

I have not played for some time i must admit, i am close to getting the urge to play again and it will be a seies of 0 year wins...im hoping about 50 of them, if they are as quick and easy as you guys say....

I have never played it myself. Though there are a few games im sure i missed out on, like the Homeworld series and the MOO series. Never played either of them.

I bought the Oblivion Game of the Year version and found out you need the hard drive to play the expansions. When I bought my XBox 360 all I could find around here was the Arcade version which doesn't have a hard drive. Not to worried about it yet since it's taking me forever to just play through the core game. Guess it'll give me an excuse to upgrade my XBox (either buy a hard drive or just buy another XBox 360).

Sorry, no XBox. Just me and my PC (and the Wii). No live function, I'm too cheap. I played MOO back when it was on the, gasp, Commodore 128. No kidding, I actually had one. Biggest waste of money ever. I eventually just threw it in the trash. But MOO was a great game, even on that platform.

And I just kicked out 2 more year Zero wins. 17,500 pts total.
That makes about 50k in the last 6 days.

50K in 6 days? C'mon Dax; me and Jeff are kicking out 100K on the A/M every day LOL

Well, I can't compete with that. Just don't have that much free time anymore with my exams so close.

But the plus side of this is that we're just about 900K from 2nd place in the Altmeta.

Hehe..i have just done my first ZYW for just under 20K. Did it with standard Korath but it took me till august to complete. Im now going to try a custom Altarian with points spent on speed +1, morale 10% and the rest on research with the tech party as well.

It is rather liberating to play whilst paying no attention to your spending. Not a practice we would want to get into on any other map, but it is fun to just spend spend spend!!!!!

Ok just did another ZYW usiong the custom altarian and had the game done in May. Would have been quicker but the Terrans were on the other side of the galaxy. Good for another 22050K.

And yes these are on suicidal. Who would have thought these games would be so quick, but are....hmmm ill continue that thought in the ToE forums.
