EVE is a great game its only flaw is that it offers practically nothing to the non pvp crowd, and limits how much pve you can do. If you want ANY involvement in the more interesting aspects building your own bases, advanced mining and crafting etc.. you have to go low sec sooner or later its unavoidable. Which also means you will get spanked REAL quick if you dont know what to do, stand still too long, stop to mine, dont know what to expect, or arent into pvp, and considering ships aint free you can lose weeks of invested time and enjoyment in a matter of seconds of ignorance so some 10 year old can have a couple of moments chuckling at your expense as his blatantly overwhelmingly powerful ship can reduce you to a few isk worth of worthless salvage to him, not to mention those who dont just take your ship, extort your cargo or also pod kill you too for kicks.
It is im sad to say the only flaw I found with EVE, and not being a pvp'er myself and having no interest in it, it also means that EVE has only a limited shelf-life for people like myself, which is a shame as it should and coud cater to both crowds equally.
i would recommend it for those who dont mind pvp though as it is beautiful, easy and great fun
