Not so. The Comptroller General has documented that we are only getting $.50 on the $1.00 back in added revenue from growth. The tax cuts are COSTING us money and adding to the deficit. I still want you to show me where the democrats have proposed to increase taxes on middle in come taxpayers. What they are saying to restore the rates to the pre 2001 levels for the top 10%. GOOD IDEA and that would NOT be opposed by the vast Majority of Americans!

The only problem with the AMT is the point at which it takes effect. The GOP could have fixed that in two minutes during the past 6 years. Increasing the point where the AMT is effective and indexing that amount by cost of living in the future would solve the problem. You do not have the brain power to breath on your own!

You failed once again to answer the problem. The tax was created to punish 200 people who fell between cracks of the tax system. Now that tax hurts between 40 million and 400 million people, the democrats were in power when the tax was hurting people and did nothing. The republicans tried to abolish the tax but were threatened with filibuster each and every time. So the republicans were stopped by the democrats and not the democrats are back in power they still failed to do anything about the problem other than demand more ways to take money from my pocket.
Yet you fail to notice that the tax law was to get 200 people who made over 100k but when taking all the deductions owed not taxes. Did the democrats when they were in power think of updating the tax law they wrote? No! They want to write a new tax law to go after people that make 200k. It is the mindset of the democrats that believe people can’t make it without the government and any success was an accident of birth. So in the time of the 100k tax to now between 40 million and 400 million people now are making over 100k a year instead of the 200 people the tax was designed to punish. Yeah those stupid tax cuts from Mr. Reagan and Mr. Bush we now have a lot of people that have made it into the middle class.
I guess the thing that bothers me the most about your attitude is that you think failure is a good thing and success should be punished. Don’t you see that 40 million people are now paying higher taxes instead of the 200 people that were considered “RICH” years ago, that means the tax cuts brought 40 million people out of the lower income to the middle class. In your very small mind you think that 200k a year is rich like the people that thought that 100k a year were rich. This country now has over a million millionaires. How is it that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer when we have more millionaires and billionaires than we had twenty years ago? It sounds more like the poor are getting rich and the rich are getting richer. Sounds good to me!
My point is that America is a land of hope, dream that you can make it, there should be little taxes on the rich to encourage people to reach that brass ring. That is the conservative view. The liberal view is that we are all worthless, and can’t survive without the government to give us what we need, and tell us how to live, and what to think.

Kept him out of jail for two DWI's
Got him into Yale and Harvard
Got him in the National Guard
Got him out of the Guard after disobeying orders
Got him an Honorable Discharge HE DID NOT DESERVE!
Got investors to set little George up in the oil business TWO times. He ran both companies into the ground.
Got his the job as GM of the Texas Rangers. Bush had NO experience and would not have gotten that job had it not been because of Daddy.
Enabled him to run for Congress unsuccessfully.
Enabled him to run for Governor of Texas

The ONLY skill GWB has was in Politics. He was not a Scholar. Successful Business man. He did not have a sparkling Military Career. He had no foreign policy experience. He was not a successful manager and he was a DRUNK until age 40. If you changed the name on GWB's Resume up to running for Governor of Texas, you would have an Assistant manager caliber at 7/11. Without Daddy he would not have received the Honorable Discharge and COULD not have run for either Governor or President. He would be a community college graduate if he were lucky. He would be an unknown had Daddy not opened every door for little George!

The AP today has the story about the Budget Agreement of the Democrats in Congress. The story was by Andrew Taylor and it appears in the Philadelphia Inquirer on page A2.

Tax Cuts for Middle Income taxpayers would be continued including: 10% rate, married Couple and Child credit provisions. The Democrat plan would restore the "Pay-as-you-go rule that requires paying for any NEW SPENDING with either cuts in other areas or new revenue!!!!!MIDDLE INCOME TAXPAYERS WILL NOT SEE A TAX INCREASE IF A DEMOCART IS ELECTED PRESIDENT!

This is what the Congress said and they pass the budget. The point is that the GOP is telling lies when they claim voting for democrats will result in tax increases. That is just not true unless you are in the top 10% on the income group. Republicans make it sound like ALL taxpayers will be paying higher taxes if democrats are elected. LIES LIES LIES!! Since that is the group that is getting MOST of the Bush tax cuts they can afford to pay more!!!!!

Why do they not understand they are not trying to lead the GOP but the nation? We need candidates from BOTH parties that have an agenda that draws from all sides and support policies that are CENTRIST. I do not doubt people do not like Congress (Both parties). However, the things democrats have attempted which people want has been stopped by the GOP in Congress (Senate) or by Bush. People want something done about energy. Bush refused to deal with the issue and given the slim majority in the Senate nothing can get done if Bush veto's the changes. Look at Iraq as an example. The VAST majority want us out of Iraq. Nothing is moving because of Bush and the GOP in Congress.

All of that does not alter the subject of this Blog—That the Majority of Americans are NOT Conservatives and we should not be adopting policies that just provide what the Conservatives want. We should not have the courts packed with conservative judges. We need a BALANCE!

When we attacked AQ during Mr. Clintons watch he made us feel safe, well he made you feel safe, when he ran down our stockpile of missiles and did not spend the money to replace them so his budget would look good was a lie that hurt the nation, causing Mr. Bush to hold off on attacks while new ones were being manufactured hurt us, and slowed down our response to terror. we were down to fifty missiles not enough to put more than three submarines into opperation when Mr. Clinton left office. Those lack of missiles caused us to have to put more boots on the ground and to hold off on some operations. Sure no US soldiers died while Mr. Clinton was on duty, well except the troops in Somilia that were attacked by AQ. Oh was that a bunch of lies he told. what about the lies he told of Saddam having weapons of Mass distruction? His nuclear capability? How we were in danger from Iraq? I guess those lies don't count because he was in your party.



If what you say is true then how come the last two landslide elections were to elect conservatives and when there was no conservative we had a simple majority or less to determine the winner. The last democrat landslide was for LBJ. This goes with my point I tried to make with Sean, that Mr. Bush is not a conservative. Senator Lieberman is more conservative than Mr. Bush. Unlike you dear Gene I am not an ideologue that will lie, cheat, and steal for his party.
I am a conservative and will vote for a conservative it does not matter what party they belong to. The reason the democrats have the majority in Congress is because in the last election the democrats acted more conservative than the republicans. That is what got them elected. None of this batch of newly elected democrats ran saying they were going to cut funding to the troops, or end the war by running away, once they were elected then they said they had a mandate to do these stupid things they could not get elected if they said before the election. Now that they have shown themselves to be liars I have a hard time believing they will be reelected in the same numbers.
