Make sure you have the auto save turned off---stardock is currently working on a fix for corrupted saves due to autsave.

Update to my last post: I seem to have eliminated the crashing by unchecking use advanced ship rendering in the graphics options. For whatever reason this option is causing DA to crash, at least for me, when the sharlin war cruiser model is loaded.

Thanks, I turned off Auto save and i can build B5 ships now. Tried as the Ansohk and Earth Alliance works. Though i think the Rangers should be the Interstellar Alliance with John and Delenn as leader, and Earth Gov should have the president from the last episodes as leader. Just my opinion, great mod, I cant wait to see if you can turn Starbases into Babylon stations.

Great mod. The Minbari Torotha model is screwed up - far too large (2.43 mb as compared to about 40k for most of them) and with no hardpoints. Since I'm not smart enough to fix the torotha model I just ended up copying the white star model data into the torotha file instead, since I don't use the anla'shok anyway and the white star is basically a minbari ship anyhow.

I know its already been semi addressed...

BUT

I am still having problems with not being able to build ships after I reload a saved game...! I've deleted old profiles, I've not hit the appearance tab and am running Dark Avatar...

Can anyone help with this prob as the mod seems way cool?

Have been lurking in the extreme for a while now - kind of cracked the shits, as per a couple of rants in the bugs forum, had had enough of spending fruitless hours chasing glitches without knowing if they were caused by the mod or the last patch.

But... the urge to get back in to modding GC2 has been building. When TotA was announced it gave me have hope that GC2 might have a lot of life left in it yet! So today, with new design principles tattooed on the inside of my eyelids, I will resume modding GC2.

The B5 mod is not dead.

I may roll back the races and add them again as I go through perfecting the fleets: the Torotha is most definitely screwed up; most of the ship models aren't scaled correctly; hardpoints are not consistent; and hardly any have thumbnails. More news soon, and a release within two weeks.

RAV, I loved your mod for the previous patch. But I'm most interested in Sins of a Solar Empire, which will feature really awesome real-time battles that would look absolutely amazing with a Babylon 5 theme to them (or Star Wars, Star Trek, etc)

Any chance you might consider that when it comes out in Feb 2008?

I'm really glad to hear you are going to work on your Babylon 5 mod again rav8! I really wanted to try it out and wanted to try it along with Spaxspore's Media Pack. Alas, I was unable to find a place to download his pack, so I contacted him via e-mail. He said Filefront keeps deleting the file for some reason, but he would upload it if I knew of a good file hosting site. So I just replied to him a few minutes ago telling him he ought to try Gamers Hell. So now I have my fingers crossed for a new version of your mod with his media pack!

I am glad to hear it is coming back! It was a great mod.

If you still need the stuff from B5Wars, let me know It would give a good basis for the mod (especially ported to TotA.

Good to hear, Rav. I was afraid real life was taking the better of your time as it does for me. Otherwise I would have tried to further the mod myself. Not that I have the nescessary knowledge yet but I would have tried to acquire it or ask the I-Mod crew for assistance. Not without asking you for permission though.

One thing I'd like to ask:
Are you going to revamp the mod just for TotA or also for DA?
I'm not sure yet whether I want to get TotA or not.

* Dummy intro movies
* Purple, green, white, and red stars (Japinard)
* Better contrast overlays (Japinard)
* No glare minimap (Japinard)
* Less caustic sound effects (Japinard)

Am still thinking about TotA myself Star Adder, leaning towards getting it but not totally decided yet. Racial techs in TotA sound very cool...

Does anyone want to jump on board and get the tech tree(s!) moving? Icewyng?

Do you have an alternative download link that I can download this from. A site that does not need any active x crap to be installed to download. The download site wants me to download an active x control (as well as my antivirus pulling the files as a virus) before I can download and I unfortunatly am not prepaired to install software I do not trust.
